Book 37 of 2026 is Days by Moonlight by brilliant Canadian author, Andre Alexis. It’s the slow, but quirky journey of botanist Alfred Homer across Southern Ontario with his companion, Professor Bruno. Fabulism and philosophy contained within a Dantesque journey to try to make sense of what is real.

So excited to see what unfolds with Karen Dupiche’s book launch. She’s written a truly remarkable memoir & I had the privilege of editing it. I’ve seldom met a woman who embodies such grace, humility, open‑heartedness, good humour & undeniable talent—all matched by extraordinary determination

My Google listing is doing very well for referring new local authors to me. A soon-to-be Kingston author reached out to me last week to edit her memoir, and she’s taking me out to lunch on Wednesday to talk about it. How cool is that? 😁

Book 36 of 2026 is a comedic satire & spiritual odyssey meets pop culture by my LinkedIn friend, Sharif Khan. The Sufi Surfer is described as The Life of Pi meets The Master and Margarita, or White Lotus meets Siddhartha. Curious? So am I. 🏄🏻‍♂️ #BookSky📚

Book 35 of 2026 is The Unruly Passions of Eugenie R. by Carole DeSanti, an historical fiction novel set in Paris “amid the wild luxury and treachery of the Second Empire.” I haven’t read much of it yet, but can say that it’s beautifully written. #BookSky📚

The last couple of months have been emotional … so many people have passed: my fav aunt in Germany, my mom’s best friend who I loved, my good friends’ nephews (far too young), an artist I admired, parents of friends, Glen Hansard, Tim Curry … it’s all a bit much, 2026. We’re all on borrowed time. 💔

Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica was designed by a Protestant architect. James O’Donnell, an Irish immigrant living in NYC, created the Basilica’s iconic Gothic Revival look in the 1820s. Its soaring blue & gold ceiling, intricate carvings & 7000-pipe Casavant organ make it a breathtaking sacred space
