Post more queer stuff online. Keep it normal. Keep it on people's radar. And above all else, you gotta keep yourself from outrage fatigue. Keep a little distance from the news sometimes. Take a day break here or there where you don't look at the news or social media. Or you'll burn out.

Build your network. Friends, family, local groups. The government is no longer a reliable source of funding or support for people and projects near you. So we gotta build our own support. You could volunteer for an organization if you can. Shelter? Soup kitchen? Advocate group?

Work just informed me that I have to hire less actors for upcoming classes because they're afraid of budgeting issues as the economy looks gloomier and gloomier. It's like the least of anyone's problems (including mine) rn but it also sucks ass and I'm sure it's the first of many cuts to come.

I am not kidding, expand your muted words list. It isn't a moral failing, it's self preservation. You need to find a haven where you can connect with people and not be overwhelmed by it all. You can un-mute the words if in a different headspace later. I block most news buzzwords.

Just that the other episodes in the season don't happen exactly a week apart from eachother show time. So it only has to condense a little. Add in some movie magic (i.e. fudge the writing a decent amount) and boom. You can be like "a year passed. No it's still 2010."
