As I understand it, these "commemorative" passports will only be available thru the Washington, D.C., passport office starting in July. Mail-in applicants will get the standard passport. Still, I wouldn't take any chances; I'd renew today if mine were even close to expiration because...well, ugh.

I've made my living as a writer in one way or another throughout my entire life, though fiction is what I love most by far. Why? No doubt, it's both a passion and addiction. But mostly I just have strange people living rent-free in my head and I need to get them the heck out.
