Having to start again on my ambitious Halloween project because I got my measurements wrong and version 1 is way bigger than I expected 🙃

It's the 1st of October and you know what that means - ✨time to start my overly ambitious Halloween model using skills I don't have✨ This year has involved a deep dive into fog special effects 🙃

Throwback to when I first started learning Blender so I didn't have to pay to have someone design my bathroom remodel. Think we got the real thing on the right pretty close to the Blender design on the left 💃

Literally cannot stop thinking about the Daggerheart session I played in on Sat

Version 1 of the keyboard is done but I already have ideas on how I want to make it better so back to the drawing board!

Bobs 🐸 @bobsvsblender.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

So the good news is I finished my custom keyboard. The bad news is I have to go back and completely redesign the PCB because I put the dials too close to the keys and it's a nightmare to type on 🙃

Got a new camera for a trip next year and am very grateful for my test model

Prototype 1 of my fully custom keyboard is done! I definitely want to go back and redesign the case to be less bulky and a little bit more ✨ aesthetic ✨

I'm on a side quest of designing a custom keyboard from absolute scratch, including the PCB, and it's been so fun and such a good reminder that nothing compares to the high of learning new skills from 10+ year old Reddit threads

I've fallen down such a deep rabbit hole of researching laser engraved custom watch faces which is crazy because I wear a smart watch at least 90% of the time 🙃

The printed version of my Daggerheart Seraph's medallion! Super excited to print a bunch of these to give to my gaming group. They're mini painters so will definitely love getting to paint these up

In our last Daggerheart game, our GM gave my Seraph a cool medallion which I had to design and 3D model. Super excited to print this one

Project for this year is learning how to hand paint height maps so I can generate some 3d fantasy maps 🤔

Progress pics of my 3d printed postbox. It still blows my mind that I can go from something that exists only in my tablet to something real and physical

Throwback to this time last year when I fell into a hole of learning how to paint fantasy maps for an upcoming campaign

Started this project back in April as a wedding gift for my friends and, in classic procrastinator fashion, finished it the day before the wedding

Finally got round to redesigning the stat tracker in my Daggerheart player box to be an abacus instead of the fiddly token set up I had before. I loved the tokens but nothing worse than driving home after a game and hearing them all fall out when you go round a corner 🙃

art of mirakar (she/her), a deep sea leviathan with bioluminescent frills and an anglerfish lure. she is crushing a wrecked ship in snake-like coils. above her, a ship floats on the surface of the ocean, about to be overcome by a giant wave.

My Daggerheart wizard has a cat familiar made of clouds and I'm so tempted to 3d sculpt and print it based on this pic of the boss 🤔

What originally started as a 'let's just put a hat on a toad' has devolved into this project - a light up decoration that swirls the potion in the cauldron with magnets when the toad is placed on the book 🐸🙃

Bobs 🐸 @bobsvsblender.bsky.social · 14/10/2025

What was originally a fun and simple to make a Halloween model of a toad in a witch's hat has now spiraled into me watching tutorials on prop potions and googling wtf a reed switch is 🙃

Clearly been playing too much Daggerheart recently because I'm obsessed atm with the idea of designing a GM screen with a little LCD screen mounted on the front so you could show your players character art, puzzles, maps, fear count etc 🤔

At a tabletop convention today and have once again blown the budget on so many fun indie ttrpgs

Picked up Daggerheart recently and designing my own player box has been so fun (also Daggerheart is a great rule set and I'm enjoying it a lot!)

I've been using Hank Green's productivity app, Focus Friend, for the last week and honestly what a game changer. I've been thinking about tic-tac-toad since Feb and all it took was a knitting bean to finally get it modelled 🐸
