Look, you can even do the cool, stylized logo thing: Bl4de.

I am once again asking Marvel to make Blade 4 with Wesley Snipes.

post your favorite doctor who. wrong answers only.

Dr. Theopolis from the tv show Buck Rogers. A sentient computer that's just a round device with LED face.

It took over 13 years to build a new World Trade Centre and most people wanted that. There's zero chance this gets completed anytime soon, if at all.

Thanks, Pavel. One more variable that could sway the midterms. Geez.

An absolute travesty. Now we're seeing a similar outcome for The Science Center. I have so many memories of both places not just as I grew up but taking my kids there over the years. No words truly capture the loss you feel for these places.

It was not good. I wanted to have faith in Spielberg but it was misplaced in this case.

Bob Starr @bobstarr.xyz · 02/10/2026

There was and yeah this genre is not exactly giving us anything to aspire to in respect to raising the bar in filmmaking.

This looks very cool. I want to see local AI solutions become the norm so I will definitely try this out.

They'll need someone like Cooper to straddle that line between action and snappy, comic timing. His A-Team role is the closest I can think of as a comparison. Besides, anything has to be better than Channing Tatum in the role like last time.

Excited to see how this folds into all the Predator work he's been doing lately. Maybe make Maleficent turn into a Predator instead of a dragon at the end.

Worse case scenario for purchasing: cool tech + nostalgia. Hold the line, Bob, you can't afford it.

If they make a "Sportsman" theme for the app I'm in!

Picture of the Sony Sports Walkman in its bold yellow colour. It had a flip mechanism on the side that latched the lid closed with rubber buttons with membrane to protect the buttons.

SpudletTV would do far larger numbers without a doubt.

Now that you call it out I totally missed the 21st century part so I'm the dumb one in this case lol

The West Wing was September 1999 so it came in right on the edge. The X-Files was in 1993.

100

Bob Starr @bobstarr.xyz · 25/09/2026

Both The X-Files and The West Wing are absent but Squid Game makes the list? Travesty.

Taylor's great and had no idea this was all happening behind the scenes. Ultimately, she was proven correct on the multi-host format. Not only do whole shows change hosts but The Daily Show is firmly multi-host every week now. It's worked well for them imo

If she wore glasses, and with that odd voice cadence, someone with limited vision could easily mistake the new person for Maria.

Love this cover and its criminal there's not a higher resolution version of it somewhere online (I looked but came up with nothing). Apparently, the day they shot the video Tom came in and nailed it in one take. Just amazing.

@parismarx.com Seems like the campaign to get off US tech is growing. Clearly they listen to the podcast.

FRANCE MOVED 30 MILLION GOVERNMENT DEVICES AWAY FROM AMERICAN SOFTWARE AS EUROPE CUTS ITS DEPENDENCE ON U.S. TECH

see 7 free alternatives to some of the biggest American software platforms, from Gmail and Google Search to Chrome, WhatsApp, Microsoft Office, and Google Maps
Proton Mail and Proton Drive offer encrypted alternatives, DuckDuckGo focuses on private search, Brave and Firefox provide stronger tracking protection, while Signal, LibreOffice, and Organic Maps offer options for messaging, office work, and navigation without relying on the same major platforms.
The shift is about more than replacing individual apps. As European governments push for greater digital sovereignty, the choices they make today could influence how millions of people use technology tomorrow....

Hey, who's that wearing green in the foreground?

Family members, including Donald Trump Jr. (far R), his wife Bettina (2nd R), and White House Appointments Secretary Natalie Harp (L), wait for the arrival of US President Donald Trump for his meeting with Ireland's president at Áras an Uachtaráin in Phoenix Park in the Irish capital Dublin on September 12, 2026. Trump arrives in Ireland on September 12 for a two-day visit, stopping for a few hours in Dublin before heading west to his Trump International Golf Links to attend the Irish Open.

Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber looking the same as the Nazi POS in this post with cropped, bowl-cut hair and similar spring jacket.

How is this confusing? It's a variety show with a musical guest. SNL with muppets. I enjoyed the one episode they made. It was the perfect entertainment palate cleanser among other genres and just fun overall.

EU pre-orders start Oct. 16, with sales starting the 23rd. Same as Canada so I don't think there's any compliance issues.
