In A Violent Nature: this one surprised me. So well done. Thr third person perspective of the killer, the death scenes were not always in your face, and feeling like I was outdoors along with the movie.

Horror movies watched this October: Strangers chapter 2: I thought this was the sequel to the Liv Tyler movie. It was not. It’s on the same universe. Despite not seeing chapter 1, I was able to follow along.

This was exciting news, Ari Astor is making another movie, ‘Scapegoat,’ for A24. Movie stars Jude Law and Scarlett Johnson. I enjoyed all of his movie with Eddington surprising me. Eddington is the first movie I can recall that showed us what life looked like during the lockdown.

I’ve been able to avoid any of the debate on this movie. I’m planning to see it next week. I was not a fan of the fame series (any platform) and I’ve seen the first and last in thr Mills franchise, and neither were satisfying. I guess I’m not a RE purist.

I was the Foreman and when the judge asked four verdict the family of the descendant expressed their frustration. I hear them. At the need of the day, someone’s son, ex-husband, friend, and father was killed, most likely in self defense by the ex wife, but that was not our job to determine.

We don’t know if the defendant didn’t murder the ex husband of his girlfriend. We do know the government failed to provide facts that beyond a reasonable doubt proved his guilt.

Four weeks as a jurist ended today. In the end we unanimously agreed the government did not prove its case and found the defendant not guilty on all charges. The most serious charge was first-degree premeditated murder while armed.

Dined at one of DCs hottest restaurants, La Merna. The go to dish is their tavern style pizza. I orders the fungi and the Caesar salad. The Caesar was the best I’ve ever had with perfect seasoning. The pizza crush is more like matza but still holds up well.

Enjoyed one of the best spaghetti and meatballs dish in some time. This is my second trip to Caruso’s Grocery and I enjoyed this better than the first. Tangy, garlicky, tomatoey with noodles cooked perfectly and a dash of Parmesan.
