Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I've probably taken this a bit too far now, but this isn't just a virtual/generated avatar, but drivable at realtime too. I like the idea of a layered audio track that carries its own inferrable video 000
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Visual pronunciation from any voice \o/ It's not useful for anything, but I think it's cool :) 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 24/09/2026It also works for a take on a wordoku, but revealing the full word list turns it into a simple elimination exercise. I'm pretty sure revealing almost half the word list turns it into a deductive challenge, but hard to generalise about so far. 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Working on a puzzle generator, if you like this kind of thing, I can't decide if this is too easy :? 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Took way too many attempts at this to finally figure it out [sound on if you're interested and not wearing headphones]. Essentially makes a video into an editable vector (of sorts) cos it _kinda_ teaches an agent how to change/regenerate it, even if metadata was stripped. 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Pretty pleased with this project, came out better than I expected :) 000
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 07/08/2026I still wasn't able to dial down the exaggerated lip movements for some of my History Guests, but it was interesting to see how it affects 'great speakers' more, like there's something about a strong voice that makes AI drive a strong face too. 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Catherine the Great (or Sophie, as she prefers casually) it turns out is a lot harder to like. 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Through listening to his episode several times, I really ended up liking Machiavelli 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I can't zoom out enough for this on my tool, but this is the middle bit of Let's Kill Hitler (time travel hub, Telltale-like) 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 02/08/2026What it looks like actually trying to get LLMs to make something only they can do, instead of just lazy slop :D 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 17/07/2026I like the ones that expose their prompt because the model didn't understand where the meta prompt and the content prompt separate 000
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 26/06/2026Even including drama and optics, it's really not _that_ bad. Almost as if there are external influences who would prefer Britain's leadership to be universally hated, despite relatively positive decisions and measurable results. 000
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 26/06/2026Putting policy before drama, that was a pretty productive legislative era. Let's hope Burnham can keep it up, but also find lots of things people really really want and like, instead of _just_ things we actually need. Updated to Starmer's resignation. betterbritain.org.uk/year-of-labo... 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Well, here's the tool and data. better-britain.github.io/voting-depri... 000
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 24/05/2026I've switched to showing too close too calls in grey, and here's raw vs adjusted for ge voting pattern differences better-britain.github.io/voting-depri... 110
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026This is my top 4 for surprise losses so would expect much better odds. Will be interesting to see how Andy does. 000
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026If you fancy a flutter come 2029 these are the ones to watch for 4-12x your money. Might be a couple of ~25x if you pick them up at the right time. I think I'm gonna bet my way through it like I did through Brexit (sick as a dog that morning, but at least I was 4 grand up) 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026I made a picture of what it looks like if those locals were repeated at the next general. Green/Labour splitting the vote in the cities. This looks like a worst-case scenario, but if you'll excuse some vibes, this is very achievable without a hail mary from the walking corpse parties. 201
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026It also says Reform take Makerfield and too close to call for Greens to take Manchester mayoralty, were that to be run. 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 23/05/2026If there was a general election tomorrow and the same picture played out as at the recent locals (even adjusted for the shift in voting patterns between locals and generals) my census-signals based model says Reform comes away with 252 seats, the Greens 145, and Labour are wiped out. 100
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 13/05/2026If I had to sum it up, I'd say Reform is the party of rural white-British home-owners in semi-routine jobs who fear becoming as poor as the multi-cultural/dense areas rented to Greens and Labour voters. 123
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 11/05/2026I got tired of seeing the same basic trendline-goes-down on turnout... Here are stacked bars showing who didn't vote of absolute population. Roughly the same overall number of people are voting, but usually as a smaller share of a growing population. 020
Bob Davies @bobbigmac.bsky.social · 10/05/2026Very broad appeal, all deciles, near or over 50%. I've seen a few pundits say "Labour are going to have to build things people can see", and they defo need to make GBE and Net Zero less abstract (flag-wave it as actually taking back control/national energy security, for a start) but yikes 000
