Well, I've kind of fallen off the face of the earth, but not intentionally. Health for me has gotten pretty bad, requiring 3 weeks of constant medical attention. I'm hoping to get back to drawing sometime soon

Unexpected medical issues have taken a turn. I'm currently in recovery after dealing with liver issues due to weight loss/hormone imbalances. I'm trying to get better for 2025. I might not be able to upload art until 2025, but I'm hoping I can do more soon!

Meant to post this yesterday, but I am working on some owed art!

But on top of that? I'm building confidence that was otherwise taken from me from BD. When I can actually appreciate the way my body is in art and REALLY observe it closely with appreciation, it really helped heal that nagging BD. Who would of thought art is therapy in it's own right? (end)

But currently? I can definitely understand why past me struggled to draw torsos/stomachs, especially when my own stomach covered up anatomy/muscle groups people typically drew for their art. I can draw fat and muscle. I can understand why the body looks the way it does in me art. (6)

In understanding my own body, regardless of weight, I could more accurately sketch my body. Monestly, my body wasn't really bad at 176, nor is it inherently better at 156. They are both wonderful in their own ways that deserves observation and art of their own. (5)

I drew my body over & over from heavier weights to current. I've noticed over time how much weight has come off, what anatomy seems to take spotlight like more muscular calves, adoring stretch marks on my back & arms, etc. (4)

At my heaviest this year, I weighed 176 in May. For reference, for my body type, size, etc my doctors recommended I to be 120 - 130 to be a healthy weight. I am not quite there, but I have lost 20 lbs since May. Why it this relevant to art? (3)

I could NOT draw torsos for the longest time. I could draw thighs & legs because I have a deformity in one of mine. Even when I tried studying anatomy, I often saw only skinnier models used to highlight anatomy shapes/poses. I have worked this year through some extremes with weight (2)

Not a vent, but rather something I'm observing as my art grows. Body dismorphia destroyed my sense of anatomy when it came to art. For so long, I suffered from BD due to gaining weight quickly from meds/med issues. With that came self esteem issues. I never realize how I project my flaws in art. 1

I'm back from vacation, but I am going to be out of commission for a few days due to blood draws and doctor appointments to get my iron back in working levels. I did do some doodles while I was away. Please enjoy. I will go back to owed art Monday!
