i find tomodachi miis interesting because they're like homunculi with zero awareness of the real world except that which the player shows them they can be amazed or terrified (or both) of things as mundane as a pebble because they lack any prior understanding or means to discern danger from safety

i originally came up with him for a one-shot last year, where he was an artificer who used cartographer's tools, casting spells by manipulating a magical battlefield map went to roll him up again for this campaign and learned d&d just... has a cartographer artificer subclass now, so that's handy

if i'm understanding this right, what you'd want to do is have this event turn off the switch that triggers it at the end so that it only runs once, and have it also turn on a second switch that tracks whether the alternate sprite sheet is currently active for the purpose of other event conditions
