it's really really rare that I come out of a movie (or book, video game, etc) with a thought like "it's better if you go in not knowing anything" but that's usually less about the store and more about the discovery or the in-theater experience of being with a lot of people who are also finding out.

I always tell folks that I am immune to spoilers. The scissor sisters podcast has this phrase she uses to explain it (because you really can't have that podcast format without spoilers)- something like "its not what happens but how it happens that makes a movie worth watching"

i feel like if you are worried that learning small details about a thing you have seen/read/played yet will destroy the experience for you, it may be time to move onto texts that engage you on different levels, where the process and craft are as important as the topological data points of narrative
