New paper @cognitionjournal.bsky.social! 🔎 We investigated how readers process word beginnings using a novel gaze-contingent magnification technique. Magnifying peripheral text helped readers identify word-initial letters, but mainly for unpredictable or difficult words. #ReadingResearch
