Choices, choices, choices. There really isn’t a wrong choice at Rocky Mountain National Park. That day I went on to the Loch. The day before I went up to Black Lake. Both are wonderful hikes.

A early morning pic of Bear Lake at RMNP. We ended up hiking up to Lake Helene and continued down to Fern Lake/Falls. We hiked 11 miles that day. It was an amazing way to wrap up our annual hiking trip.

I was lucky to visit Rocky Mountain NP this year. This is the trail leading to Lake Helene. It was an amazing hike. We started at Bear Lake. Instead of turning around at Helene, we continued toward Fern Lake. Ended up hiking 11 miles that day.

I recently got back from my annual trip to the Black Hills. It’s always a great place to visit. I took this picture along a portion of the George Mickelson trail. Normally I only walk a couple miles each day. It was such an awesome trail that I walked six miles. I can’t wait to visit again.

Just thinking again about my annual trip to the Black Hills. Not exactly the best photo, but here is my Road Glide ST with Bear Butte in the background. I wish I could say I hiked to the top, but it was pretty hot that day. It was good to get back in the wind after the hike.

Now that winter is here, I’m looking back at some of the things I was able to do last summer. For those golfers out there, this is hole 16 at one of the best courses in North Dakota (Bully Pulpit in Medora). It’s an amazing course.
