Hide and Go Shriek is a late era slasher that is likely mostly forgotten even by horror fans. However, it's actually not a bad little slasher/stalker movie. The setup is kind of silly and some of the decision made by actors and such will elicit a chuckle, but it's not too bad.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! This year, B-Movie Enema is talking about, and celebrating, the works of Rob Zombie with what we're calling Rob Zombie's Spookshow! To get us started, let's look at his most recent film to date, The Munsters.

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year at B-Movie Enema! Ah, yes... October. The weather gets cooler. The movies get spookier. B-Movie Enema celebrates an anniversary. Each year, I choose a theme for the month, and I thought it was high time to feature the works of one Robert Bartleh Cummings, better known to the world as singer/songwriter/producer/filmmaker/actor Robert Zombercrombie. Er... I mean Rob Zombie. Now, to get things started with what I'm dubbing Rob Zombie's Spookshow, I think it's important to understand that I'm not here to bash on Mr.

Camp Crappabuttawipe at B-Movie Enema ends with a tip of a cap, and a surprisingly heartfelt, horror comedy from 2015. The final review for this summer's theme belongs to, who else? The Final Girls.
bmovieenema.com
The Final Girls (2015)
And so we have arrived at the end of B-Movie Enema's Camp Crappabuttawipe... 2015's The Final Girls comes to us from director Todd Strauss-Schulson, making his second big-screen feature film. Strauss-Schulson comes from a comedy background, having previously made A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. In the four years between those two films, he largely worked on sitcoms. The Final Girls most definitely is something of a love letter to 80s slasher films that took place at a summer camp, but it's also a comedy and has something a little more going for it than the typical slasher genre film.

Frank Henenlotter did a lot of fun movies. Maybe my favorite is 1990's Frankenhooker, the sensitive tale of a man stitching the head of his girlfriend, who suffered a terrible accident, atop the body made from pieces of hookers. What a tale of love and sacrifice. Read the review - wp.me/p9XNnZ-29I

It’s the long awaited return of stone cold babe Patty Mullen and the even longer awaited bow for horror-comedy maestro Frank Henenlotter! Henenlotter is best known for his Basket Case trilogy…

Ulli Lommel made some pretty wild stuff in his career. He worked as an actor at first, often working with Rainer Werner Fassbinder and in one of the early Russ Meyer films. But as a director, I found myself quite satisfied with 1983's Olivia. Read the review from July 2021 at wp.me/p9XNnZ-29C

Lucio Fulci's The Black Cat from 1981 is actually quite interesting. Fulci is the kind of guy who you either really vibe with or not. I largely do, and I definitely did while watching this adaptation of the famous Poe story. Read the review from July 2021 at wp.me/p9XNnZ-28I

The Black Cat (1981)
I love cats. Guys, I don’t mind saying it. I’m not a dog person. In fact, for the vast majority of the last 29 years, I’ve lived with at least one cat, and very often with two. Th…

Obligations are obligations so to kick off the final month here at B-Movie Enema's Camp Crappabuttawipe, it's time to put a bow on a franchise with Return to Sleepaway Camp.

Return to Sleepaway Camp (2008)
Welcome back to B-Movie Enema's summer-long exploration of camp movies (movies that actually take place at a camp, not campy horror movies), Camp Crappabuttawipe! Oof magoof, we are really in the dregs of this theme series now. Okay, we've had some real bangers here this summer, but the last couple of weeks have been pretty shaky. But now, it's time to completely pull the rug out from under all of us because this week, we have a movie that is truly, outrageously awful. It's one of those situations in which I hate putting myself into - the commitment to an entire franchise.

One of the all time great Andy Sidaris movies that came to prominence during both the video store and the late night cable era has to be 1987's Hard Ticket to Hawaii, starring two babes, a giant snake, and a lot of awesomely dumb action. Read the review from June 2021 at wp.me/p9XNnZ-26Z
