The purpose of a thing is what it does. I call them torture gloves because that’s what they do. They use escalating amounts of pain to force the victim to comply or confess while giving the perpetrator a feeling of power and sick gratification.

Every news organization is reporting "Trump says his Super PAC will pay for those ads instead of taxpayers," but we should be very careful about taking his word on that until we see the proof. It's not like this is a guy who keeps his promises and pays his bills.
