Wanted to share a bit of the process of “Owl Pellet.” I had the idea but not much of a vision so I started with thumbnail sketches. I did a larger sketch after I decided I didn’t like any of those. I didn’t put much thought into the color palette but the end result feels right. #drawing

Made a flail out of Monster Clay and turned it into a slimy green painting. “Prison of Molars” a weapon known to trap the teeth of its victims within the cage-like ball at the end of a thorny chain.

New account, first post, new illustration. Colored pencil in a Moleskine. “Owl Pellet” is an 8-9 foot tall undead comprised of the regurgitated remains of various creatures. The owl that spit it out must be massive… This is part of a small series of home-brewed DnD creatures in progress.
