LONG BEFORE Bucket Lists were in fashion, I dreamed of landing a painting of mine on nationally distributed home decor. Thanks to my friend and outstanding licensing agent Alicia Dauber, the contract for this spiffy area rug came about in 2013. And you say I’m a doormat like that’s a bad thing.

BELLA DONNA. Yes, I painted this acrylic marvel in (1990)college. The assignment in my History of Illustration course was to depict an icon in the art technique that was hip during their era of fame. Sweet glittering highlights! Donna Summer worked hard for the money, right up until the last dance.

BEN & INK creatively speaking, my first love was ink on paper. Childhood felt pens wielded a more impactful punch than #2 pencils which were and are still a huge yawn for me. Something about the ink pen that has to go down with moxie and be willing to fail.
