Im finally entering my „old man arc“! Got the experimental DVD core running on MiSTer and turned my CRT into a gateway to my teenage days. The image quality is insane. Gotta buy some more DVDS now I guess.

The first MGS release 28 years ago! There was a special PAL version that came with a demo of the original Silent Hill. This demo included the original „grey children“ that where cut from the game in all other markets except for NTCS US regions. #MetalGearSoild

Every Resident Evil fan has to ask themselves the question if there’s a to much. Is it worth it to seek out EVERY version of RE4 and why is emulating the Mobile version on PS Vita a clear sign of insanity.? Sigh. Lets GOOOOOOO

I light of recent events I decided to give my PS3 a much needed refresher of their thermal paste. Fan noise and temps improved dramatically. Maintaining these old machines is more important than ever. Hack, modify and do everything in your power to make your games and consoles your own.

Friends of physical media had an awfull day today. It’s time for a pallet cleanser. Show me your physical collection or (retro) gaming corner. I’ll start:

When people ask me if I prefer hardware or software emulation. Look at this insane daisy chain of nostalgia! Playing Pokemon Silver inside of Pokémon Stadium 2 via original accessories and controller. All running on MISTER FPGA hooked up to a CRT. Perfection.

Benjamin Horlitz @blutigerpfad.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

Gönnt euch was gutes.
