As a recent example, I've been thinking about an interaction between my fursona, Evo (first image), and an OC, Aiolos (second image) [Both works by @myloveless.bsky.social]. They aren't friends. The rest of this thread will be the interaction between both that's been on my mind. Enjoy!

Clockwise, starting at 1-o'clock and moving to the center, the various sketches depict them: roasting a marshmallow, reading a book (in color), standing and looking smugly at something - or someone, holding an origami crane, and smiling with their mouth open.

Got gifted this incredible art by @myloveless.bsky.social last night

A take from the artist MyLoveless on the art in the quoted post. Evo's head is now rendered in full, as opposed to the minimalist style with a few lines suggesting the shape of it in the original. A long, thick, purple tongue snakes out from their open mouth, which is held in a wide, toothy smile. Glowing golden eyes stare blankly outward, and a vague feeling of unease permeates the whole image (fitting, since it's meant to be an unsettling icon for Halloween)

- Valcorians have no concept of gender as we understand it - what parts an individual might present are dependent on personality, hormones, and the sort of arousal they experience, changing the shape of the core components to suit the situation.
- Scar has since been healed.
- All parts are internal, emerging from a slit depending on what they change to.

In your case, you probably want 'Depth' set to Default You can also choose whether only the front, back, or both sides of the plane are visible, if that helps

When you have one of the refertence planes selected, in the Object Data Properties panel on the right side (the one that looks like an icon of a photo), setting its depth will change how it's rendered. In my case, I purposefully have them set to back, which behaves as they are for you

Pixel art made by the poster (myself) of my valcorian fursona wearing the outfit designed as a part of a challenge, also seen in the lead post I'm replying to. It consists of a skintight top with cutouts at the right midriff, left arm, and right shoulder. It has no sleeves, a high neck, and a fishnet top underneath. For the lower clothing, it has a leather belt with metal clasps, loops, and cutouts on the right side. The shorts have one leg shorter on the right, and a longer leg on the left. The longer leg also has fishnet stockings going all the way down the leg.

Recently did some work on my own Minecraft mod and did exactly this with sprites I needed for blocks and items by... spending anywhere between 10-30 seconds on each one. Distinct enough to tell what they are and where they need to go, bad enough to replace them with the finished sprites later

So instead of having "ready" assets with no soul, indistinguishable from a final product only to someone that wouldn't give a damn, I had something that only /I/ would see, which meant it didn't matter how it looked, *and* I could work a lot faster and easier, with a better final product!

While working on a Minecraft mod, I needed a way to make sure blocks and items had been added properly, which meant I needed textures. So I spent 5 seconds on each sprite, and it worked! Sure, they were crude, but I could see and ensure all was as it needed to be!

It's taken me 4 years, playing off-and-on again since 2021, but I've finally done it Elite Rank in Exploration, in Elite: Dangerous
