A small harvest of sun gold tomatoes and sugar snap peas. The bigger tomatoes are taking longer to ripen, but wow, when they do, we are going to have to work double time to keep up with processing them!

This photo shows sun gold tomatoes, (which are a range of yellow orange to orange red) and green sugar snap peas laid out on a black towel after harvesting.

New website for tracking ICE agents. Are your neighbors inflicting harm on others? Now you can find out by checking by state or report them in real time. icelist.info

This is a screenshot of the ICELiist.info website. There is a black section that is about a fifth of the page size. At the top within this section. There is an icon that has an eagle with the words Ice List in front of it. The rest of the page is a dark gray with large print white words that says, "Real Police Don't Need Masks". Underneath in smaller word, it says "The ICE List is an open journalistic project, created by the Crustian Daily, aimed at collecting and sharing information that can hold ICE members legally accountable." Under this is a red button that reads: Report an Agent.

One of the bonuses of shopping locally, instead of ordering online, is that I get to discover amazing little shops & creators. Today, my friend took me to a new card & gaming shop, and I got this amazing little Game Boy scene to add to my desk. The retro vibe makes me smile! Upcycling for the win!

This photo shows the top shelf of a desk system with a picture of a plate that has a painted science fiction portal. Next to it is a nonfunctioning shell of a Game Boy advance SP with a hand- created scene atop it.

The screen has been altered to read: "Chick Pokémon Torchic." above the words,"Prof. Birch is in trouble. Release a Pokemon and rescue him." A scene with grass, colored rocks, mounds of moss and trees surrounds the Torchic figurine, who is standing between the controller buttons.

Learned a new skill. I am all out of bread bags to gift my bread to my coworkers, so I used the 1st half of this video to make one! I really appreciate my Summer School team and hope these Rosemaey Parmesan Artisan loaves will be a good thank you gift. youtu.be/ZH7nBysqEY4?...

A glass bowl is filled with flour and sprinkled with rosemary. There is a sprig of rosemary resting on the bottom left corner of the bowl. In the top right corner, there is a container of shaved parmesan. And there is a bowl of plain flower in the top right corner. This is a photo of my ingredients for making an artisan loaf of rosemary parmesan bread (with the exception of the salt, garlic powder and water.

These are the baked loaves of bread.
Recipe: 3 cups of flour
1 1/4 tsp of salt
1 2/3 cup of water
1/2 tsp of yeast

Add any extras like cheese, fruit, dried meats, candies, veggies, pickles, etc. Less water for juicy or liquid additives.

Mix and set aside over night. After 12-18 hours, remove from the bowl, folding/rolling into shape and set on floured surface for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 475° with a pan with a lid inside (Dutch oven, can't iron, even pyrex works)

Place loaf inside when up to temperature for 30 min with lid on. Remove lid and bake for 15 min more.

Eat the whole loaf 🤣

These are parchment paper bags I folded using the YT video. They are sitting on a floury counter with excess groceries behind them.

A beautiful summer rainbow means I dont need to water the garden and that our drought is going to improve slightly. I hope the tomatoes dont burst, but it's so lovely...

This is a picture of a rainbow. On the left upper corner, the sky is a deeper gray split by a thin lip ribbon of rainbow with a lighter gray sky to the right bottom half of the photo, the bottom is lined with the tops of the all green trees that are mostly cedar and a deciduous tree that has turned a bit orange due to the drought.

Those who suppress history FULLY intend to repeat it.

This picture has a photo of Donald Trump next to a sign that says alligator Alcatraz with a quote that reads "We're going to teach them how to run from an alligator if they escape." To the right of his photo are examples of postcards in which African-American people, especially children, are being used as alligator bait (from the post Reconstruction Era throughout the fight for desegregation).

Underneath these photos are the words: "Alligator Alcatraz is not an Innovative integration and migration solution, it's a modern-day lynching joke and camouflage it tapped into the same Twisted imagination that once turn postcards of black babies and alligators into collectibles. This isn't just about cruelty. It's about Legacy and power. Trump is an inventing new evils, he's recycling old ones, laughing as he governs, the full weight of the presidency behind his dehumanizing vision.'

On stressful days where there seems to be so little I can do to make an impact at a national level, I remind myself to work at a local level. As a member of Buy Nothing, this is my porch today, where neighbors will pick up items they want/need for free. Hyperlical mutual aid. buynothingproject.org

This photo shows the corner of a porch with sage green siding and white edging. On the porch are a variety of gift bags with blue painters tape labels for the recipients of the gifts. These items that are inside the bag are part of the Buy Nothing movement, which helps people share resources that they have with those who need or want them at no cost. There are a variety of clothing, books, puzzles, decor, and more within the gift bags. Neighbors will pick them up throughout the day.

I am deeply disappointed by @repdelbene.bsky.social voting against impeachment today, thereby allowing Trump to continue to expand his overreach in the use of the executive branch, and by extension our tax money.

There is a beige gray background with a sketch of Tupac under which it quotes his song "they have money for war but can't feed the poor." And then Tupac's name is in larger letters underneath.

At a town hall on Friday, [Senator Joni] Ernst was pressed on cuts to Medicaid – the health care program for low-income Americans – in House Republicans’ budget plan. One audience member shouted that “people will die.” “Well, we all are going to die,” said Ernst, “For heaven’s sakes, folks.”

On a black background with red fire and smoke, the title reads social murder. Is a term coined by Frederick Engels in 1845 and used to describe murder committed by the political and social Elite where they knowingly permit conditions to exist where the poorest most vulnerable of society are placed in a position in which they cannot reasonably be expected to live and will inevitably meet an early and unnatural death.
