And that's pretty much everything about the trailer. Final thoughts, really in the middle about this one. But then again the real judging comes when it releases to Youtube on September 17th so that there isn't a need to be so negative already. "Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover" am I right?

021

BlueSkunkGuy @blueskunkguy.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Of course I've pretty much gotten used to the voice casting being kids again, we've entered the preschool age of T&F so why would we not make this show into a musical just like in All Engines Go? If it worked for Phineas and Ferb it should work here too, right?

121

BlueSkunkGuy @blueskunkguy.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Of course I'm pretty sure that just like SpongeBob there's gonna be some callback central moments such as eggs flying onto Thomas like in the story "Scrambled Eggs" from Thomas and The Twins, nice.

131

BlueSkunkGuy @blueskunkguy.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

It's definitely nice of them to acknowledge that there are actual humans like workers and drivers on Sodor, and I'm glad to see Sir Topham Hatt is finally in charge again. But the designs are... well... They pretty much just scream PAW Patrol and Postman Pat (2014).

So, this is mean't to be Jay... Or Deepak idk. Apparently he is a road crane or something, guess that's cool.

BlueSkunkGuy @blueskunkguy.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

As stated in my previous post I have to admit this is visually stunning, some areas could use a bit of retooling but yeah, it's just good. Also, Henry's Tunnel moment.

121

BlueSkunkGuy @blueskunkguy.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I really don't see why it was this necessary to have like a giant sign on Tidmouth Sheds to make it so blatantly clear that this is the main engine's home. Aside from that, I actually like how Bruno has his own berth spot on the side, it's pretty nice.

121

BlueSkunkGuy @blueskunkguy.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Okay, now my real thoughts on the Thomas and Friends Railway Stories trailer. I took some rewatching and... Honestly I'm rather confused than what most fans are probably be like either excited or angered idk I'm still not in their fandom.
