My husband and I do couples counseling once a month with a licensed therapist, and it's the best. It's made us better communicators and helped us develop deeper empathy for each other. I wish more people talked about it. You don't have to wait for your relationship to be in crisis to get counseling!

Jesus calls Matthew to leave his job of collecting taxes for the empire, and Matthew does just that! He repents & follows Jesus. I wonder what it would look like for us to do the same for our neighbors who are ICE/DHS agents: to invite them to repentance, to walk away from empire & to follow Jesus.

Two weeks ago our church's pastoral musician received a horrific medical diagnosis. Tonight, on incredibly short notice, 100 of us gathered for a service of healing prayer (including anointing with oil) before she heads to NYC for 4 months of treatment. I am so grateful for my community of faith.
