I did some editing work on an interview series with execs from companies that basically consult other companies on integrating AI into their business. One of the questions asked was “How do you use AI in your own day to day life” and I’m not exaggerating when I say *zero* of them had a good answer

Hey, fellas, before you write that white hot take about how rape is such a tricky thing and, I mean, who can really say what happened and, you know, maybe we should not be too judgmental, I'd like to remind you that instead you can simply shut the fuck up.

It’s one of the things I love about having the host of Jeopardy be the all-time greatest Jeopardy player. He’s genuinely impressed when someone gets one he knows is tricky, and genuinely bemused when they miss one he knows is easy

There’s no “jailbreaking” happening in any meaningful sense. These are tools that have been programmed for a specific function and they’re carrying out that function. The story is that the companies are actively refusing to implement guardrails to prevent them from functioning in unlawful ways

The hand thing is even weirder, because if you look close, Trump’s left hand is a copy/paste of Xi’s hand, which suggests there was some manual photoshopping being done in addition to the AI

Their follow-up suggests they may have been referring to Nate Parker’s “Birth of a Nation” from 2016, and also that they don’t seem to be aware that literally nobody else was referring to that movie, because not a single person has thought about that movie in ten years

I’m also not seeing any lip-sync inconsistencies, such as mouth movement that doesn’t affect the rest of the facial muscles, which you tend to see in AI videos of a person talking
