Is there a dispensary in hell? Yes? Okay. Cool.

I know many of you don't like these type of posts, but I just lost my best friend. Possum was just the most buddy cat ever. Now, there's a Possum shaped hole in my home and my heart. #pets #cats #grief

I tried to get health insurance online. I'm getting over 40 calls a day. My voice mail is full 3 times a day. I feel like I'm under siege here.

My 87 year old grandpa was put in a rest home while I was away in college. I broke him out, handed him a six-pack of Bud and a carton of Camels, and drove him to his girlfriend's house. The family was furious, but they didn't raise me, he did. Past 80, people should do what makes them happy.

I appreciate what Meidas Touch is trying to do. But, I can't get past click bait (false) headlines, AI misleading thumbnails, and being shouted at like I'm the problem. They seem to forget we're the literate half of the country, and treat us like morons watching Fox News.

Happy #Caturday I used to hang out with these two at the LA Zoo. I found the dynamics of their relationship fascinating... long-term marriage vibes. #nature #photography #lions

When you give a paintbrush to a child, they paint. Give a paintbrush to an adult, they say, "But, I don't know how to paint." Finding that wonder, letting yourself go, seeing through the eyes of a child... it fills your canvas with joy.

I've lost count of how many times I left an OB/GYN office in tears, devastated, devalued, and depressed. I had a full hysterectomy after they discovered a 7.5 lb tumor in my uterus. It grew for years as doctors told me nothing was wrong and prescribed antidepressants. Glad I never have to go back.

I'm more concerned with billionaires who don't pay taxes than with military moms gaming food stamps.

blueridgebird.bsky.social @blueridgebird.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Military pay has improved since my era (I'm old). The point for me, is people say folks on food stamps don't work. Our military members work hard. They, and their families, experience hardships and challenges few of us can understand. Take my tax money and feed their kids. Please.

Restaurants in general are taking themselves way too seriously. They all behave like they're in a bad reality TV show competition. Less focus on the evolving philosophy and more on plating a decent meal would be wonderful. Also, I'm not scanning or downloading anything to order food... ever.

When my husband came out of basic training, the AF paid him $750 a month. Our rent was $650. I worked my ass off the entire 9 years he served, forced to find a new job at every new base, in thriving places like Mountain Home, Idaho. If we'd had kids, food stamps would have been necessary.

I did not shame or judge anyone. I related my personal story to encourage people without access to GLP-1 drugs not to give up. 36 million Americans have lost our health insurance. We matter, too.

010

blueridgebird.bsky.social @blueridgebird.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

My intent was not to shame people using the drugs, but to offer hope for those who need it and can't afford it. 36 million of us are living without healthcare. If reading my comment upset you, I think you need compassion for those who are less fortunate than you, rather than taking it personally.
