Unfortunately too many people want transportation that takes them from A to B. We've become very lazy. I hope there's a place for buses in the future too and predicting the future is very difficult so I'm probably completely wrong. But I can imagine fleets of these things whizzing about.

Maybe, but there are too many cars on the roads and potentially this coukd discourage car ownership. The aim is for the fare to be equivalent to public transport cost. I have a feeling that this could actually end up being a good thing.
