except maybe from my side cause I clear a path in so I can leave my offerings there. No idea about what it is or means, maybe I'll try finding out later, just too much right now. But still, interesting find. Since I don't know the origin/intent I've left it there for now. 2/2

Went out to dispose of my offerings in my wyld space in my backyard, and there is a quartz crystal that's maybe 3/4 the size of my fist. This is 42m (135feet) from the front of my property, all adjoining neighbours have trees/bushes/compost in that corner, so it's really not accessible 1/2

"Oh yeah, you like that pain, don't you?" When my massage therapist sounds more like he's my dom... Then again he used to be in "collections" for his "family's business", so could be that too...

There are revelations so profound they shake your world, your sense of being. For a moment you see beyond flesh, mortality, true clear consciousness like the gods... You can add salt and vinegar seasoning to a bag of Salt and Vinegar chips, and make them super salty and vinegary and it's amazing.

Though I did find earlier the CD that the files were burned on...but that doesn't exactly help anymore.

Few hours of recovery, and I have the text again. I feel like this is the modern era version of going to a charnel ground and asking Space-Consciousness to reveal the teachings. 2/2

I somehow lost (!!) one of my chöd texts, both the physical and digital copies. I went through my last four laptops and all my USB drives, nothing. Finally I remembered my fried hard drive that's been in a drawer for like 3 years waiting for me to see what can be recovered. 1/2

Bah, trying to share a joke on here, but the image upload keeps turning into a blank black "image". Tried three times, changed the aspect ratio, it's less than a mb, waited a few minutes even, still a blank upload. Is bluesky just saying I'm not funny? I'll try again later.

Next book for my bookclub arrived today. Starting next week. I'm so glad I got my friends hooked on the Magic in History series.

Book: Sorcery or science? Contesting knowledge and practice in West African Sufi Texts

The book cover appears to be Arabic writing and magic squares

Reminds me of the relatable Hannah Gadsby quotation regarding their gender before coming out "First and foremost I identify as tired."

💙 Thanks! That means a lot. I feel bad about not updating, and wonder if the site is worth renewing, so it's always nice to hear it's remembered/appreciated. (I mean site stats show it's still visited, but nice to hear it from someone) Hopefully there is something that helps you in your work

Thanks. Yeah, funny coincidence then. I haven't posted on anything woog related in months, but today I saw a reddit post, and mentioned the person needed to work with their local spirits, so when I saw the notification from you I laughed wondering if it was cause you saw that, or just ...life heh

It is indeed. He's my yidam, so when I needed to ramble off a Wrathful Buddha's description his was the first to spring to mind.

💙💙 Is this just coincidence, or are you on the same subreddit where I mentioned earlier today that someone should work with local spirits?

There is something brutally psychically injurious to being constantly told "just do good work and you'll be successful" while watching people who do the most dogshit work possible do all the succeeding.

The best part of that was realizing I can say "Bhiksu please" in Buddhist convos now, and I find that way too funny for no reason.

"Peaceful Buddhas are all just 'oh look at me sitting here all boring on a lotus, the calm embodiment of compassion.' Bhiksu please, I have 10 heads, 34 arms, 16 legs, and I'm dancing on the corpses of gods, holding the severed head of Brahma-the-fucking-Creator-of-All, while fucking." #NoContext

Next book for my book club. I can't believe I haven't read any of the Magic In History series since university. I might have to buy more and catch up, since I couldn't afford them in university.

Book: Strange Revelations: Magic, Poison, and Sacrilege in Louis XIV's France. Cover text hides a woodblock print of perhaps a devil or green man's face

There are two words that can be used to describe my religion: tantra and yoga. I never use those terms as the Western understanding of them have almost no relation to the traditional realities of the practice. So I say Vajrayana, I have to explain it, but don't have to break through misconceptions.

What I actually do meme

Tantric Buddhist
"What society thinks I do" and "What my friends think I do" are both showing a naked man and woman heads together in prayer position.
"What my mother thinks I do" shows the Dalai Lama making devil horns on his head
"What other Buddhists think I do" shows a line of Tibetan dancers doing a ritual dance.
"What I think I do" shows a chodpa performing chod
"What I actually do" shows a top secret folder

In a training today the presenter complimented me on formatting SMART goals. "You're good at this, I guess you've done this before." Of course I'm experienced with SMART goals, I'm a competent sorcerer.

I've had people comment on how I (used to) post a lot about the weird in my life, and this was the reason in part, normalizing the strangeness so others feel comfortable sharing.
