Also as someone who's struggled with an ED due to body dysmorphia, being happy with my body was usually synonymous with being in a positive mental state. So the fact I'm unhappy but don't want to starve myself is progress ^^

My mental health has been at an ATL for the past year or so, but my physical health is at all time high weirdly. Been steadily losing bodyfat and gaining muscle and I think I can now say I'm "toned" on the gay apps lol Silver linings and all that or whatever

Felt emotional last night, decided to turn it into moody poetry and thought it was worth sharing

A poem that reads:

I feel like I'm not who I was,
and not who I want to be.

The thoughts in my head
belong to an abuser.

But I have the sense to keep him away
from those that I love.

We'll try to repair this tower at the top,
as it crumbles at the base.

But before it falls, I won't let me hurt you,
I'll run one way and you run the other.

He'll be gone and you'll be safe,
a sad ending now but give it time.

I love you, but I know me,
so this is for the best <3
