I have fond memories of the 80s despite Thatcher. I was at my most politically active then and would be on a march or demo every other week, meeting lots of new people and making some lifelong friends. Glastonbury was particularly fun, throwing lumps of mud at pictures of Maggie's mush. Salad days!
