i was very very delicate with explaining that the golden cards are fake and i was worried i'd see them get super super sad but they were just very excited to learn from a teacher who likes pokemon... and honestly my heart is so warm...........

i got to educate a whole class on how the golden pokemon cards they keep trading are fake and that may have hurt feelings but they were all incredibly grateful and i gave them more info on how to make sure they're not being outright scammed, especially with adults (and discouraged them from trading

On people or even just forcing them onto characters and becoming furious when someone has the audacity to do something different. I've seen that a lot online particularly with m/m couples and it feels so rigid, particularly the way people have made the question of top/bottom the be-all-end-all

I can't speak much on specifics w/ people misunderstanding gay sex specifically as ive probably done that a ton too haha. I think writing without life experience can be a good way to engage from afar, it's what helped me stop fearing sex but. I know what you mean about people pushing dynamics

part of my journey with it has been trying to remove the impulse to ascribe morality to it and i think that has been a big part of what's made me start to see the 'Mythos' of it. you're right, it's very banal. and neutral. i think i'm just saying you're incredibly correct
