At 7:26 p.m. the blinds into the death chamber opened for witnesses to see Pike strapped to the gurney.

Media witnesses reported hearing Christa Pike speak multiple full sentences throughout the process.

“My arm feels like it’s about to bust. One spot is really throbbing," said Tori Gessner, a WKRN reporter and media witness.

The blinds closed at 7:46 p.m. Witnesses said they could still hear her breathing when the blinds were closed.

Just 3 minutes later, the blinds were opened again. Pike was still breathing and began snoring, witnesses said.

The blinds closed again at 8:05 p.m. Witnesses said the breathing continued while the microphone was still on. Prison officials removed the witnesses from the room at 8:53 p.m. When the microphone cut off, witnesses could still hear her breathing.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Opponents of redistricting in Missouri appealed to U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday after an appeals court let stand a new map backed by President Donald Trump.

It's is the latest turn in the legal battle over the 2025 redistricting. The changes are aimed at helping Republicans gain an extra seat in their effort to maintain control of the U.S. House.

More appeals are expected, however, with the midterm elections fast approaching.

It comes shortly before ballots begin going out in the pivotal midterm elections

Four kites were found in Kibbutz Nahal Oz, which is about 800m (2,620ft) from the Gaza border, on Friday and Saturday. Several more were found elsewhere in southern Israel last week, according to local media.

The Israeli reports cited military sources as saying they believed Hamas was behind the kites and that they might have been intended to test Israel's response.

No suspicious materials were attached to the kites and they did not pose a threat, the military said.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I don't usually meet the chef before the dishes impress me. I mean, my feeling toward the creators, will depend entire on my feeling toward the creation itself, your game. There is no point, in my humble opinion, to celebrate anything before it is worth celebrating, no? It always look very self absorbed to me, talking too much about the creation process of a game before people really wanted to know about it because they like the game. Anyway good luck to you guys!

CHARLESTON — A security guard accidentally fired his handgun within the Charleston County courthouse complex on Aug. 5, officials said.

The firearm went off around 10 a.m., inside the county offices portion of the building at the entrance adjacent to Meeting Street.

A Walden Security officer contracted by the county to provide protection within the building accidentally fired the gun near a security entry point, according to county spokesperson Chloe Field.

The entrance provides access to the Charleston County Auditor office at 101 Meeting St.

The officer had removed his duty-issued handgun from his hip holster and was showing a coworker how to disassemble it when the weapon fired. A bullet struck a standing metal detector at the security checkpoint, Field told The Post and Courier.

The officer reportedly cut his finger during the incident. No one else was injured.
