Happy first night of Chanukah! (I’ll be working on the candle cup sitch tomorrow 😂)

An etched glass block featuring the biblical badass Judith, set in a gold bowl with two candles on top.

I need to get back to this with my good camera. That’s on the list. Pima Canyon Trailhead, Phoenix

Saguaro cactus with both living green areas and dead brown parts. There are holes throughout the cactus. The inside, open to the world, looks like dry bark.

This is what started it. I’m sure my new Judith menorah design didn’t help. I can sign up for these lifestyle choices.

AI created image of a lawn inflatable featuring Judith holding a bloody blade over Holofernes.

Good morning, Arizona. I’m a little green. I’m a little thorny. I’m a little soft. I’m a little sharp. #macrophotography #cactus #nature #anxietyrelief

A lime green cactus arm shoots heavenward, its bright, blood-red spikes paint a contrast to the white stretch marks mirrored on the other side of the arm.

Hi! Welcome! This is a beautiful shot. Can I ask what you’re shouting with to get this focus? Here is one of mine from a butterfly garden last fall.

Macro photo shot of an orange and black butterfly wing: the left wing of a butterfly, burnt orange with a thin black smudge and some black circles with white at the center. A zoom in will show the detail of the scales on the wing, tiny and pixelated.

Awesome! It reminds me of this bottle brush. It was with my iphone11 when I first started appreciating macro shots. Again. 😂

A red bottlebrush pushes its golden-tipped stamen out into the world. The gold tips are in focused and in the background is a riot of red with green leaves.

Today, I will be fully open to the good energy around me. #macrophotography

A red strawflower opens to the sun, her petals stretched back like she is just waking up and testing her muscles.

I’m rocking this one tonight. It makes me so happy 😂 www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/4655...

Black t-shirt. “You succ” written in golden cursive across the top. Three bright succulents underlined the text; one indigo blue, one bright green, and one pink on the outer border and purple inside.

I captured my first hummingbird shot a couple of weeks ago.

Anna’s hummingbird, with his shiny green body, drinking loudly from an orange bell blossom. The background is a riot of yellow and orange bells against an overexposed sky.

Come visit Arizona! They have arrived!

Two honeybees on either side of a delicate white petal, a beautiful flower on the Peruvian apple cactus.

#picoftheday I had a beautiful moment at the Lowe’s gardening center.

A honey bee enjoys a snack in a red gerbera daisy. Pollen from recent meals clings to his knee and his wings are thrown back, relaxed in his delicious joy. In the background is another red daisy and a burnt-orange daisy.

I don’t, but I wish I did! Hi! I’m here mostly for photography, but I’m a community dietitian teaching all the same concepts you’re advocating. And I design food pun t-shirts 🤭

Yaffi, wearing a t-shirt that says “bacon of joy,” white words against black background, rays of bacon coming out of the words. A cute dog is licking her cheek.

I love watching people and animals enjoy their food.

A honey bee flies gleefully into a towering sunflower that takes up the whole shot. His face is hidden in the delicious pollen while his wings flap wildly with delight. The blue sky perks through on the left side of the frame and there are palm trees visible in the background.

Beautiful! I got some of my first hummingbird captures yesterday! I don’t usually edit so heavily, but I had to find the bird 😂

I love the textures on this, from the aging cactus skin to the swirling spikes. I’m watching for blooms on this one in the Spring! 📸 🌵 📷 #arizona #cactus #naturephotography

Oooh ladybug thread??? This is one of my favorite shots of all time.

I love macro photography because it forces me to look for beauty in very small spaces. When we learn how to seek beauty, it’s much easier to find. #arizonaphotography #macrophotography
