This Quakecon was fantastic! There were too many people to keep up with hanging out with all of them, but that's honestly a good problem to have. Looking forward to the next one! Though hopefully I'll be a bit less busy. 😅

Got the new enemies working for Bullet Chambers, AND made a new update so people can try them out! Game's still of course a rough demo, but I'm happy with how the enemies feel even in this rough state. It definitely helps to get the game feel across. bloodshot9001.itch.io/bulletro

Huge PB from today's practice stream! Ended up adopting the Gauntlet combat routing vs. Flail and it definitely helped in a lot of places. Also just generally getting a feel for the arenas. Feeling prepared for the run for sure.

I know a couple people who have been struggling with the Archvile in Dark Ages, especially before getting any upgrade, and since I've been routing around minimal upgrades for speedruns I figure I'd share the strat that's been working for me thus far.

First (real) run of Revelations done. Even dying a bunch due to Nightmare difficulty, still got sub hour which is pretty good. I feel like with the correct fight routing (and not dying), sub 50 might even be possible.

Going through Prey (2017) again, and my favorite tool in the entire game is still the Huntress Boltcaster. Just ignore my terrible aim, I swear I got it on my first shot when I wasn't recording.

Finished RE1. Very good game! I definitely get where a lot of the praise comes from, and I really enjoyed my time with it (I also did og controls, and was very happy I did as the game is VERY well designed around it).

I ended up playing Doom (2016) late, and hadn't even touched the originals. It became one of my favorite games, but even then I never expected it to change the trajectory of my life. I'm eternally (heh) grateful for how everything has worked out, and especially thankful to the MDSR community.

Was doing some digging and found one of the earliest things I ever did game dev wise: made a working ammo system for a PvP FPS level in Little Big Planet 2. LBP2 was a huge thing for me growing up, and it's probably the earliest example of me getting into game dev.

Roasted some pumpkin seeds. Didn't use oil to roast them this year to try something different, dunno if it's really better or not, but pumpkin seeds are always good.

Sad to say we had to put Missy the cat down today. She had big cancerous lumps and we could tell it was affecting her, but she was always in good spirits trying to hold out. It's never easy but we wanted to do what was best for her, not for us. We were lucky to have her as long as we did.
