blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I think there's a common "liberal" idea that environmental/climate issues can be solved by inventing the right technology and then using it to continue building and manufacturing things at the same rate we have been 071
blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Serious criticism is good for art in general. I think the issue is that a lot of reviews are bland and inarticulate. They seem to want to be on a certain side of a conversation, not to present a unique perspective - probably because anything too unique can't get boosted in an algorithm 121

blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 19/05/2026Definitely. No matter how good an adaptation is, it's still a little disappointing that there can be considered a "definitive" interpretation, and that means there won't be much deviation from that style for a long time. 010
blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 18/05/2026I also grew up watching the 1977 Hobbit cartoon on VHS and still love these designs 2170
blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 18/05/2026A lot of LoTR art online is focused on the Jackson films' depictions but I really like finding older attempts. There's a huge variety of interpretations, which is how it should be. Even though I still wouldn't like it, I'd appreciate if that Rings of Power show tried to look more different 49112

blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 14/05/2026I read Men of Iron, a novel from 1891 about a boy who becomes a knight, and it was mostly only interesting to me because it doesn't follow any conventions that an adventure story written today would 010
blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 21/04/2026might be a case where a social media timeline makes it seem like everyone is doing 1000 different things when in reality it's showing us 300 people doing 3-4 different things. But some people do seem to be doing everything 160

blooblee1.bsky.social @blooblee1.bsky.social · 21/01/2026I like Archaeology with Flint Dibble, but that's not really the same as history. Most of the episodes are interviews with experts on their subject of expertise or new discoveries/theories.
