RS with your home river ...ok I'm cheating a bit, I haven't pictures of mine at hand so here's the tiny (<14km long) river next to where I work: the Brendola. I took these today bc it was the first time (after almost two months) I've seen it with running water, due to the heavy rain of yesterday

Ho appena ricevuto una spedizione da #IKEA e la situazione è stata: 1 ordine (6 oggetti), 1 magazzino coinvolto, 1 spedizione, 3 pacchi sovradimensionati, di cui ne sarebbe bastato uno avessero disposto bene gli oggetti In foto: la maggior differenza volume contenitore vs contenuto

I'm so late but I wanted to post a shout-out to the roggia Degora, the small "river" I've always seen from my room. I'm kinda attached to it. Incidentally, making this post made me look up the translation of "roggia" and thus I learnt that a roggia is a canal, not a real river. Oh well

A small river, so small you could jump across it with a bit of luck, flowing between steep artificial banks. To the left there's grass and in the background a factory with a truck parked, to the right a house. On both banks there are trees, some with leaves some without. Some underwater vegetation can also be seen.

Having never heard about the "GIUK gap" I checked wikipedia and 1) now I know one more reason why the US might want to directly control Greenland, 2) feel this part should be updated

The Danish government has historically used its jurisdiction over foreign policy in both Greenland and the Faroe Islands to assist in securing the GIUK gap and the wider Arctic for its allies. In doing so, Denmark has arguably acquired a sense of goodwill from particularly the US government and NATO.
