The retail collapse has been exhausting too… I was already boycotting Amazon when I moved to NYC 10+ yrs ago, but after a certain point there were things you can’t even buy in person, even if you scoured Google Maps and called people and took a rideshare to some out of the way neighborhood.

Why doesn’t the MTA stand up their own train manufacturing industry that builds all the parts of the train in the USA from materials harvested in the USA so they don’t have to pay to import it? Seems like a pretty easy thing to figure out in less than two years.

I feel like if these big idiots who don’t have thumbs and live outside all the time and run into things can manage to not get eaten by a bear or a coyote, I should probably be ok.

Whenever I get spooked when I’m alone in the woods I remind myself that deer are just as big as me and on average a lot dumber, but they are doing so well at not getting killed by the New England wilderness that we need to ask people to please go shoot some of them once a year.
