Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 20/09/2026Typst is excellent, and that's a great idea. You could look into their typst.app web UI. That would give you a preview. You could dump your Sifa.ID records and upload them to your account, then use that as the data source for your resume. 001
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 18/09/2026You can also specify resume overrides to tailor the resume for a specific position. It will combine for Sifa.ID data with your override file, where the override takes precedence. It also has a build script in package.json that uses "bun" to build this into an executable. 120
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 18/09/2026I created another atproto thing! This time, it's a resume generator that uses your @sifa.id records as the primary source. It uses @typst.app to compile the results into your resume PDF. It can also generate cover letters, as well! github.com/bljohnsondev/resume-typst 2172
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 28/07/2026Great! I’ll upgrade and strip out my schema extension. Thanks for the update. 110
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 26/07/2026That's awesome! Fantastic job. Hopefully others will find it helpful as well. 020
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 25/07/2026It was helpful for my use case to be able to break down the “Technical” category a bit. I like your options for categories and didn‘t want to interfere with that so I just added the subCategory. 110
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 24/07/2026I added an additional custom record for extra data not included with Sifa, like greeting, page titles, and additional custom skill categories. I also added a subCategory field on the Sifa profile record to fit my own custom categories as well. 130
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 24/07/2026I'm doing some fun atproto things! I've updated my website to use @sifa.id as the source of truth for the data I use to populate my website. My site is some quick info about me, my employment history, and skills. All of this is now sourced from the Atmosphere! 250
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 23/07/2026Maybe I'm using it incorrectly? For now, I'm extending ProfilePositionRecordSchema and overriding cid, making it optional. 200
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 23/07/2026@sifa.id I'm using your sdk specifically for your schemas/types when reading sifa data from my PDS. When using ProfilePositionRecordSchema it specifies skills as strongRefSchema. That schema defines cid as required with cidSchema. The lexicon, however, has cid as optional. My records have no cid. 130
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 18/07/2026Wow, fixed already! That's awesome. Thanks for providing a great service. 020
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 17/07/2026Your Sifa.ID web UI also shows a list of positions when clicking and editing a skill. I was hoping adding a skill, then checking the positions, and saving would result in a single skill record and that at-uri being used for those positions. I can't tell that it did anything? 010
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 17/07/2026@sifa.id I deleted all my skill records to clean up some duplicates, and noticed my position records still have skills[] entries pointing at the now-deleted skill at-uris (orphaned refs). Is that expected? 310
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 03/02/2024Update to my Mishos web app for tracking TV shows for anyone interested. The first is big news! I've published Docker images so anyone can try it out now. - Added onboarding screen to create the initial user - Added an export data option in settings (import coming soon) github.com/bljohnsondev... 020
Brent Johnson @bljohnson.dev · 28/01/2024I created a thing! "Mishos" is a self hosted TV show tracking application. I watch a lot of TV shows and I like to keep track but I would prefer to not share my watch habits with companies that want to sell my data. github.com/bljohnsondev...github.comGitHub - bljohnsondev/mishos: Track your TV shows using a self hosted web appTrack your TV shows using a self hosted web app. Contribute to bljohnsondev/mishos development by creating an account on GitHub. 050
