AAA Devs/Publishers aren't affected by this since they can shrug off the increased expenses, but smaller Devs either need to piggybank off of AAA Publishers or just...Not allow their games to be sold in the EU.

It's actually not an incentive to make offline games, since Indy Dev would either need to grab a AAA publisher to get a physical edition (A game is not "Offline" unless it's physical media according to the Act) or they would have to go through impossible regulatory burdens to get it online.

He can't mess with State Elections. Even if he tries to use Emergency Powers or Martial Law in key states (there literally aren't enough soldiers to do it nationally), the courts would immediately shut him down. The worst he can do is ruin another national monument out of spite.

I genuinely wish Knights&Magic leaned harder on the R&D aspects of the earlier episodes. like bending a mech's arm to test a new musculature system, only for the arm to shatter because they hadn't compensated for the "Flex". this reminds me a lot of why the Majora's Mask 3DS remake ended up as reviled as it was. Eiji Aonuma, one of the directors of MM, didn't understand why people loved Majora as-is, and made alterations to the game based on his experience with the original game. what we got was a remake nobody liked.
