Post and email I made on my Gumroad store today. Once I have a new secondary store up I'll be delisting everything on Gumroad. Find my stuff at: jinxxy.com/Inkblitz Support artists, not machines.

Gumroad post that reads:
tl;dr: No new assets will be posted on Gumroad. Existing assets will continue to get updates. Reach out to me at contact@spotcat.ink if you want to transfer an existing Gumroad license to Jinxxy.

For further purchases please go to my main store at https://jinxxy.com/Inkblitz (Everything is 34% off there right now until sunday btw! >.>)

The owners of Gumroad have made it very clear that they do not want human creators on this platform. They have time and time again replaced humanity with GenAI, and this time they are in the process of removing our ability to create our own profiles and storefronts, replacing it with an 'Agent' that will do it for us with a prompt.

If you've followed my work at all, you'll know that I'm not okay with this.

So I will be winding down my Gumroad store over the next month or so. Jinxxy has thankfully become my main store over the last two years, but Gumroad was used as a secondary in case of outages or if people can't buy off of Jinxxy. At this time though I do not have another secondary store, and so I will be waiting to delist everything here until that store is up.

No new assets will be posted on Gumroad. Existing assets will continue to get support and updates, but new assets will only be posted on Jinxxy and whatever secondary store I spin up. I will also be offering transfers of licenses from Gumroad to Jinxxy, to do so please email me at contact@spotcat.ink with proof of purchase.

Whatever your current stance on GenAI is, know that it is detrimental to artists. It steals our art, takes away our ownership, takes away jobs, and destroys the environment. They claim that it democratizes art, but art is already democratized. You can already make art if you want to put into the time to do it. But CEOs and techbros have taken away your agency to make you think that you can't.

Support artists, not machines.

NICE to see @jinxxy.com create a GenAI tag and enforce its use. They'll actually be removing anything AI Generated that doesn't disclose it! Not a fan of GenAI in general but considering the crap we've been getting all around us, I'm happy that at least one platform is doing something.

Email from Jinxxy that reads: Generative AI Tagging $ Filtering.
"We have added a toggle on the product editing page where sellers can take their products for Gen AI usage if applicable. They will also be prompted with a text box to describe how AI was used in their product."

"When viewing one of these products, users will see a clear Gen AI usage disclosure on the product page."

"Users will have the option to filter out and hide tagged AI - Generated listings while exploring the Marketplace via the "filters' area on the left side of the page."

"It is already an existing policy in our Terms of Service and Marketplace Guidelines that AI usage MUST be disclosed in the description for any product or product listing that contains it."

"Moving forward, tagging these listings will be a requirement! Failure to do so will result in said product being removed from the Marketplace by our Moderators!"
