The Sadpra is now less full of interior pieces (and mouse nests). Everything was just piled in the back when I rescued it. Now it's vaguely vacuumed out. \o/

Obligatory #Scirocco photo to finish off the night. Nevermind the missing front bumper cover. It decided to remove itself on I-79 while I was helping my bestie purchase this clean #Cabriolet. Not to worry, I have another to put on it. Soooon...

On the plus side, I did manage to replace the shift rod with a salvage one that has a good reverse lockout. No more risk of the transmission exploding when I go for 1st. \o/ #scirocco

Just change the Scirocco's O2 sensor. I said, it'll be easy I said. And then it snapped off inside the catalytic converter. :D ...to be fair, it has been 18 years since I last touched it. Bonus, the THREE cv bolts that failed on the passenger half shaft... #scirocco

✅ new gas tank ✅ Corrected firing order ✅ Put on correct plug wires ✅ Bled rear brakes From non-running to driving in a pretty short time :D still plenty to do but the #cabriolet is coming back to life!

This may not look like much at first, but this is the underside of that Cabriolet where the gas tank goes, and the rear trunk floor. It's so clean. I treated one tiny rust bubble (the red primer). I don't think I've ever had one this clean underneath. #volkswagen #cabriolet

As a bonus today, I finally willed myself to fix the Corona's leaky oil pressure sender. The 18-RC is happy to chew on old gas. #toyotacorona #coronamk2 #RT73

So.. I bought this lil Cabriolet as a non-runner. 'couldn't get it going after a tune up' 'not sure what's wrong' etc. 10 minutes to get it to fire. One hour to running. Awwwwwwyea
