RetroPC-Hime @blisswallpaper.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I went first year and it was pretty good for a first year event, especially the first VCF in Canada. This one should be bigger and better (And with no people failing to show up due to weather!) Not to mention, we won't see these things grow if they're not supported. 000

RetroPC-Hime @blisswallpaper.bsky.social · 30/09/2026From all those profile flags it looks like you're dealing with some rageaholic young adult right? No no, this guy is at least in hit's 40s, he's been in the fandom since 1993. Had his own Wikfur page deleted. Probs have a massive profile on 'that embattled drama site we won't mention'. 100

RetroPC-Hime @blisswallpaper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I said no one 'will' download, not no one 'can' download. (This is also of course a broad generalization of trends, 'no one' actually means 'a sizable majority'.) 000
RetroPC-Hime @blisswallpaper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Sure, and how far away from a copyright take down are those YouTube links? You can't pretend that's not a very serious issue and a major reason why we don't see a big YouTube AMV scene on YouTube. Most have no interest in playing Wack-A-Mole with copyright and killing their channels over and over. 100
RetroPC-Hime @blisswallpaper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026The real wild thing is how AMV's are now *only* a con thing. We used to download the 30mb at a time. Trade CDRs with them. They'd be loaded as filler on VHS fansub tapes. We discovered new animes this way. But today no one will 'download' and you can't easily put AMVs on YouTube. 220
