My point exactly. They could even make a classic facade with a modern building behind.

The plateau is not a great example, due to historically value of it. So to retain that feeling and maintain the neighborhood cultural and historical heritage That is the only argument I can see for that, but if they’re tearing the building down to build a modern one the argument is moot.

Bicycles during the pandemic almost doubled in price, now they are lower than pre-pandemic prices. The opposite is true for basic needs.

Prices go up and stay up only for non flexible demand items. Which is capitalist BS for basic life necessities. Healthcare, education, housing, transportation and food have a constant demand no matter the cost. And if you look at what has the largest accumulated inflation is exactly those.

Common sense means they do not understand scientific knowledge. The very reason that science works its because it doesn’t rely on common sense. Common sense tells us the Sun rotates around earth, the earth is flat, germs do not exist, electricity is magic.

Also you had to close the banana bread factory because you don’t have bananas. Now you lost money because the banana bread you used to sell , plus income taxes from the workers, now they are on welfare making you lose even more The small stores where they used to go are also out of clients

When they need police to protect a public infrastructure worksite from protests. It might be an indication that they’re not acting in the best interest of the community. I get it when its a for profit private project… But this? Never seen a protest outside a new school, hospital, even farmers mkt

So they are going to her house to find evidence of falsifying information when all that information is already in her parents immigration paperwork which is archived by the federal government. I don’t understand the false logic.

Today I had an epiphany. We are told that parents love is unconditional… they have it all wrong, it is the children who love their parents no matter how awful they may be. My mother passed away and she was a Narcissist who abused me and my siblings. For some reason I still feel love for her.

Tbf . The price the people in the first image paid would get you business class now. Which is a lot better than what it used to be. Specially trans continental flights

If you need cops to protect public construction work, probably this is not something the population wants.

The biggest barrier of entry to the profession for Drs is the insane cost of education and the k-12 education level. This leaves thousands of capable and willing potential students choosing different careers. Free quality education would solve a lot of this. Increasing the pool of med students

I have never understood election laws. They are there for elections to be fair, but if you break them and cheat in an election , no problem, just a fine but still get the ”prize” “We know Russia interfered in favour of Trump but too bad so sad we cant do nothing about it”

Yeah. Seems like someone needs to retake their drivers test. Not looking both ways before an intersection, regardless of flow direction, is a big issue during the exam. Even driver ed teachers make a big deal of turning your whole head 3 times so it’s clear to the examiner.

As long as the medical profession is for profit. Drs will go to where they get paid more… Education in critical fields should be free under a condition to work in the same county/state that subsidized it for a period of time to minimize brain drain If they leave they should pay back the subsidy.

This is true yet the issue with that is because of an underlying Eurocentric approach to everything, the natives were savages and they came to free them from their ignorance. Anything that the native population did is deemed irrelevant. “It was the Europeans that developed America”

I hate how by default the plans are to use public spaces for private use. Imagine if kids thought of swings in the same way. That they can just leave their toys in a swing for storage until next day and everyone is OK with that. How many swings and how much space would a park need?

Still, not explaining how getting rid of frat houses would impact the purpose of attending University. Getting rid of all Lawyers would obviously impact the application of laws. Getting rid of all doctors would make hospitals useless Getting rid of frat houses will actually improve education

Please elaborate on how frat houses support Education and Research? Which are the main purpose of Universities Do you want the answers for your examples ? Because they’re obvious BTW, hospitals with a consistent unethical behaviour do get closed for that. Lawyers lose their license.

64 % of Canadians disapprove of what Carney is doing. Yet 70% have a positive view of Carney, almost as if vibes are more important than substance. Just based on records of O&G lobbying, its almost as if there were astroturfing efforts against Trudeau and in favour of Carney.

Yet Carney is opening the doors wide for them and with corresponding subsidies, while enjoying the highest approval ratings of any PM
020
blinpa.bsky.social @blinpa.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
My point exactly. Yet he had the highest approval ratings of any PM in history. This can only be done by using a crisis, real or manufactured. “Never waste the opportunity offered by a good crisis” - Machiavelli

blinpa.bsky.social @blinpa.bsky.social · 12/10/2026
Definitely. The threat of annexation from the US + trade war have made canadians accept policies that only 4 years ago got Trudeau heavily criticized and had to backtrack from them. Very literally the NDP was going to call for a non confidence vote for meddling in a Union dispute.

How about the Alto high speed rail. Which will be funded mostly by the taxpayers, and will enter an 80year concession with profit guarantees. Meaning if the profits are not reached, Canadians will have to pay. Making investors risks almost 0 Privatizing profits and socializing costs
030
blinpa.bsky.social @blinpa.bsky.social · 12/10/2026
What railways? The ones owned privately by CN and CPKC. How about the airports being privatized? Or the planned refinery that will be 50% funded by taxpayers and will go 100% to the private investors after 10 years?
120
blinpa.bsky.social @blinpa.bsky.social · 12/10/2026
If you look closer at Canada, Carney is using textbook shock doctrine to sell our infrastructure and transfer an even greater share of wealth to foreign corporations. Softening rules to have a two tier health and education system which inevitably will result in the privatization of all healthcare.

Final price is determined by supply and demand (or at least thats what the capitalists say) removing a tax will not lower prices. It will only be replaced by a corresponding price increase in the supply chain profits.
