The website has been upgraded to the latest release of Tiddlywiki 5.4.0. Additionally we've made multiple improvements to the performance speed of searching!

This now shows the people who have submitted the most metadata! (Note that this page may lag for a few seconds to open.) This accompanies some new blinkies I made as cute little incentives for people who submit metadata and want to show off their hard work :-) these can be found on the same page!

- Existing content, now expanded: Credits, To Do, Metadata Guidelines, Links - Existing content, no changes: Site Updates, Types & Attributes, Terms of Use One page that I'm particularly excited about and want to highlight, however... The Transcriber Stats page!

There's way too much content for me to describe exhaustively, but here's the sparknotes version: - New pages: Guestbook, How It Works, Mission Statement, Our Policies, Creator List, Archival Tools, Resources, 2001-2006 (wip), webmaster pages, Blinkie Stats, Creator Stats, and Transcriber Stats

BlinkieWiki has been completely overhauled & expanded to include a dozen new articles, which can now be navigated between with the links in the new sidebar! We've been working on this update for over a week straight, and it's easily the largest update the site has ever received! #blinkies #oldweb

Special thanks to @slinkoutlawed.bsky.social for translating these French websites for us so that we could accurately record their terms of use!

At long last we've hit both 75% on general completion of transcripts and the surge of over 7,500 old French blinkies have been added to the website! You can read about the update in more detail here: www.tumblr.com/blinkiewiki/... #blinkies #oldweb

We're at around 60% of blinkies transcribed. Whew! When we get to 75%, the French Blast will commence haha

We are happy to announce that you can now search by the language that a graphic is in! This was a feature requested a long time ago, but only now did I get around to implementing it. This will be in preparation for the massive dump of French graphics we've found in the future, haha. Enjoy!

Two days of tireless work into this and we've managed to find **over 7,000** French blinkies from the 2000's. Seriously, I can't overstate how huge this gold mine is, and we're probably still just barely scraping the surface! Looks like we'll be hitting the 30k milestone in no time. O_O

I'd also still like to get a lot of transcription done before dumping a bunch of new stuff, so - stay tuned! -🦎

Right now I'm in the process of downloading these graphics, but they won't go up just quite yet. There's other updates I'd like to push first, such as support for searching by languages and some retagging of blinkie colors to better fit the categories.

Holy wow, where do I begin! Well, to start - I'll make a more articulate post on this later - we've discovered a huge scene of French blinkies on the old web! I've never seen any of these circulate in English-speaking circles both back then and now, and it's wild to see just how large it is!
