i was about to ask if i'm particularly funny because i started hanging out on more public discord servers and people are acting like all of my jokes are the funniest shit ever but then i remembered

"'you're so funny' thanks i used to get pulled out of class to go color with a random lady"

so i guess since i'm working on my mental health and restricting doomscrolling and whatnot i need a new outlet for Mess, and the one I've seemingly found is "picking up a new low budget mtx-heavy mobile game for a beloved IP and seeing how much bullshit i can […] [Original post on ohai.social]

Screenshot from my phone of the Japanese Google Play Store page for Digimon UP, notifying me that the game I have been playing on my phone in my country for a week "isn't available in [my] country". I did not sideload it or use an alternate app store.

son is all grown up and still shredding it #tamagotchi

my Tamagotchi Paradise, the screen showing a newly matured Parorotchi smiling cheerfully at the viewer. It looks like a rotund little green parrot with a yellow heart-shaped face and pink and green feathers in its wings.

Another Tamagotchi Paradise photo, this time showing Parorotchi on its halfpipe with its skateboard.

my child arrived last night

A newly arrived Tamagotchi Paradise, Orange Tropics edition, still in its US release packaging. It's a pink egg-shaped electronic device with orange accents in a colorful box covered in various Tamagotchi characters.

Close-up photo of the unboxed device sitting on top of the tortured squishmallow I use as a lap pillow at my computer (nb: i bought it before the squishmallow guy went full zionazi). The screen is on, showing a full color display featuring a newly-hatched baby tama, just a round cream-colored blob with a face, hanging out in a tropical environment.

i decided to check out what tamagotchis these days look like. i'm not a huge fan of how they're shifting to bigger more expensive full-featured handhelds (i'm well beyond the target demographic at this point though so ah well!) but oh my god the nu-gen tamas are so fucking cute????

promotional artwork demonstrating various evolution paths in one of the newer tamagotchi models. there is a variety of colorful new characters, many of which more directly resemble specific animals than the classic tamagotchis. there's a pink owl, a pink and purple raccoon or red panda, a white creature resembling a stoat or weasel, and so on. the art style is the same as it's always been and the :v faces are still present.

[gacha pull] happy memorial day or whatever

I have pulled Gilberta in Arknights: Endfield. She is an anime fox girl with dark brown twintails wearing an implausible science fiction anime outfit

life isn't terrible sometimes

POV: you are comfy on the couch, under a quilt your grandma's church made for you as a kid, with an orange kitty curled up in your lap, playing Morrowind on a Steam Deck

[alcohol] bought a couple of these out of curiosity and they're... weird, but not as nasty as i thought they might be? it's just vodka except it burns like hot sauce going down instead of vodka not my favorite thing in the world but hot sauce enthusiasts might like it idk
