My favorite part of Manosaba is when Hiro went "It's Hero Time!" and then she tadashied all over the place.

Uh, if anyone's going to update VNDB or anything, I wouldn't really count myself as a translator on RE:BOOT unless translating the existing text over a decade ago counts. For RE:BOOT, Steiner is the translator, and I'm the editor.

If you check my announcement skeet for Manosaba... you might notice my Steins;Gate shirt in the picture with Ema. That's right, I took both these project announcement photos on the same day. I left all the clues. EL. PSY. KONGDEW. bsky.app/profile/blic...

It's been a funny misconception that Steiner is the one who translated Steins;Gate, when it was actually me. But now, the delusion has been RE:AL booted, and we are now both THE Steins;Gate translators since Steiner has translated [redacted]+α% of the combined script.

I bet at least one of you was wondering why my PFP was half blank... I wasn't sure which side I'd get to reveal first. There was one very specific person who I could show the full thing to. Half is Sherry Manosaba, Half is Mayuri RE:BOOT. Two blue slappy girls.

Here is my reaction when Steiner and I made a poetic, full-circle ending by getting to work on Steins;Gate RE:BOOT together... only for him to join me in Manosaba:

Blick Winkel⁉️(H. Anthony Israel) @blickwinkel.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

It's been fifteen years since I started translating Steins;Gate and I couldn't be prouder that Steiner translated its (second?) RE:boot. I am so glad that I got to RE:join him for the journey as editor of Steins;Gate RE:BOOT.

Proud to announce the (actual) first visual novel that @distantvalhalla.bsky.social and translated together since Steins;Gate... Steins;Gate RE:BOOT! Specifically, Steiner translated the new and revised story content and TIPs, while I did some misc bits and, of course, the original text.

Meru was my Lamunation boss. Matt was my Gal*Gun boss. Steiner was my Archetype Arcadia boss. Sarah is my Manosaboss. This is a boss rush for me. I'm like Mega Man or Scott Pilgrim except I never dated a 17-year-old.

My Manosaba tier list without labels. Check the ALT text for the labels, since it might be slightly spoilery.

Top Tier Character... But design is a little plain: Hiro, Nanoka, Leia

Cool Design... Just wish you did more: Alisa

Meh (ruru): An-An, Meruru

Potential Man: Miria

There's a lot of jargon (descriptive magic terms and whatnot) but I think one of the hard parts is that trial discussions are timed and auto advance with the voices. You can "pause" by bringing up the evidence menu, but you can't look at the backlog until you reach the end of the current discussion.

BONUS SKEET: Don't be afraid to beg for a dream project. I recommended @sashalalabelle.bsky.social to the team and then intimidated her by liking each of her "manifesting" posts before DMing her about a "job opportunity".

Hey all, remember how I kept saying, "manifesting me getting to work on Manosaba ENG?" WELL, GUESS WHO GETS TO ANNOUNCE THAT SHE'S PART OF THE MAGICAL GIRL WITCH TRIALS ENGLISH LOCALIZATION TEAM! I am SO excited to be a part of this incredible team!

Manosaba will have you asking "Wait, they can do that...?" While a lot of the things Manosaba does have been done before, it does them all well and in unexpected ways. The cast is fun too. Highly recommend if you're into stuff like Madoka, Phoenix Wright, and Danganronpa.

It's been fun working with some familiar faces, but most of all, I like how I was able to do one last VN project with @distantvalhalla.bsky.social before his translator hiatus... and then out of nowhere, he popped up and joined Manosaba, too. We're partners... accomplices, even.

Mostly, I translated the non-trial story segments from the latter half of the game, though I did get to do a few trials. The cyclical nature of the trial segments (with plenty of wrong answers) made them fun to translate.

Proud to announce that I'm one of the EN translators on Magical Girl Witch Trials (Manosaba)! When I was recruited, I was immediately hooked by the premise of the game... and a mention of certain Love Live cookies and cream girl.

The sun creates, but cannot see the phases of the moon. Only the earth can see the effect the sun has on the moon. We too are blind to the effect we have on others. 🌞🌗🌍

I mean like abbreviating a show to just a common given name. Gumball and Chowder aren't normal people names, but calling "Drake and Josh" just "Drake" or "Josh" would be weird. Or "Hannah" for "Hannah Montana". I guess more uncommon names like "Clarissa" for "Clarissa Explains it All" are borderline

My niece calls Mickey Mouse Clubhouse "Mii Mow". She also calls Minnie's Bow-Toons "Mii Mow" so it's hard to tell which one she's asking for.

You ever think it's a little weird how people abbreviate anime titles with character names to just the character's name? Haruhi, Madoka, Nanoha, etc? Like imagine someone saying "Steven" or "Ben" to refer to Steven Universe or Ben10.
