The bill has been opened to feedback. Rather than dooming about the proposal, you can tell them exactly how you feel about the act here. ec.europa.eu/info/law/bet... With how much of an uphill battle Chat Control is having, you should never assume it's worthless to fight these draconian bills.

Oh, that being said, you can look him up on Wikipedia. I know that's not much saying much but I am half-mentioned in his article. As well as my mother's. But... Again. Not really very big, hahaha.

I had shown my dad the scene from the manga. He was flattered, but I don't think he really understood that the song he produced with T-Rex inspired it and how big of an author Naoki Urasawa is.

You should be asking why Rockstar gets to do this and doesn't run into any issues with payment processors, while the rest of anyone drawing or writing "explicit content" on any platform have so much trouble getting paid

The situation with FurAffinity is pretty amazing. Advertisers threatened their advertising revenue because they considered Plus Sized characters and characters HUGGING to be adult content. So FA said fuck off, and in two days raised their entire yearly funding. Advertisers are so bullshit stupid.

CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks. Sex workers have /always/ been right to say these policies never stop with 1 type of content. They always wanna ban more.

I just subscribed to FA+, It's $5/m. If you really support anti-censorship, then let's put your money where your mouth is. It's the least we can do.

Whatever might be your grievance with FA, they are definitely a pillar of the community. And corporations want to dictate how it operate. Other sites are either too small (SoFurry, Weasyl) Or run by GenAI fucks (e621) Donating is a better option than whatever drastic options they'll have to take.

I really had to read the article this was sourced from but it's true. Capcom does want to enter the AI space and that really hurts. Can't trust Capcom either now.

In regard to FurAffinity being at risk due to censorship: Furries are now political targets. We are getting namedropped at high levels of government. They know that we are a large, influential, largely queer, community. Fighting for the spaces owned by our community is incredibly important

FA is being very up front about both the cost of hosting the site [it aint cheap] and how advertisers theyd been relying on prior are pushing all the same puritan bullshit weve been seeing other platforms push FA is one of very few Old Internet spaces around. Support em while we CAN

I had to look it up because I couldn't believe he did this, but yes, @gavinnewsom.bsky.social actually vetoed the Speaker's bill banning former ICE agents from public employment in CA. The Legislature should over ride his veto.

That was the fun thing. It did introduce the characters and the call to action to us in the beginning, but before diving into everyone's backstory, Kui introduces you to the first real character exploration: the dungeon itself, who it is, and what the characters need to do to survive.
