Es glitzert wieder! @hukl.bsky.social und ich haben über Spaß und Frust mit CAD Tools, werkeln mit Holz und einem leichten Hang zum Horden von Werkzeug gesprochen. #MalWasMitHolz glitterbrains.org/podcast/034-...

Am I just too dumb to search or is there really no handwriting detection (or regular ocr that works on handwriting) for the browser (besides maybe TrOCR with onnx)?

Any recommendations for a really cheap mini PC that runs on PD but can output two displays via USB-C?

bleeptrack @bleeptrack.de · 05/09/2026

Btw did I show you the core woven modules that were on display at #emfcamp ? Sooo cool!

Still can't wrap my head around that my partner listens to podcasts while practicing the piano. HOW?!

There's no limit to side projects to have! You just really need to believe in the power of procrastination!

What if making a website was more like journaling? Sticking images with tape. Writing notes by hand.

I'm happy to consult you on ✨project maxxing✨ I'm a certified expert in - researching for a new project - shopping parts for a new project - romanticizing the work that needs to be done - never doing the work for the project - never finishing a project - stumbling over more great ideas

"Creative Technologist" ist ja ne nette Arbeitsbezeichnung, aber warum bin ich nicht ✨Hof-Mechanikus und Optikus✨

Old device (not sure what it actually is) that reads "Königlich württembergischer und bayerischer Hof-Mechanikus und Optikus" which seems to be a very awkward and outdated name for an electrician, I guess

So Germany's sugar tax will now become a tax on all things that are fun to drink and the extra tax money will not be bound toward spending on the health sector. So why exactly are we introducing that tax again?

Who needs a gallery rail system when you have wood panels with gaps :D Just need different clips to finally show off my #ptpx cards and some photos to come.

Can only speak for CS courses: when I did my CS YT videos, I got a bunch of mails trying to lure me into some course-offering/teaching focused platforms and they were more or less offering the same as YouTube as in: pay per click/watch (was around 2015). Pretty sure it's now very different. 🤔

Question for folks who also went on a batwalk at #emfcamp : Someone had this cool small bat detector that transformed the sound to an audible pitch. Does someone know which PCB/Project that was?

With my library card I can of course borrow digital books. I can also stream movies! But is there a game rental service? Game Pass but for libraries?

Oh, one of my favorite talks of #emfcamp just landed on YT! It's more a performace than a talk maybe. Even the "slides" are actually a ZX Spectrum program 🤯 youtu.be/ZFL1ad90M2k?...

I'm pleased to announce the release of a browser-based tool for viewing, reconstructing, and exporting 3D data from a GelSight Mini tactile sensor. This unusual $500 device connects like a regular webcam, but can be used as a depth-scanning microscope for surface texture: github.com/CreativeInqu...
