I don’t think there’s anything I missed that I wish I’d gotten. I’ll give you a little anecdote: Stephen Miller was perhaps the most concerned about the portrait session. He asked me, “Should I smile or not smile?” and I said, “How would you want to be portrayed?” We agreed that we would do a bit of both. And then when we were finished, he comes up to me to shake my hand and say goodbye. And he says to me, “You know, you have a lot of power in the discretion you use to be kind to people.” And I looked at him and I said, “You know, you do, too.”

A member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe.
An Otero County Sheriffs deputy murdered him.
We MUST demand justice.

Elijah Hadley, a 17 year old from the Mescalero Apache Tribe was shot 19 times by an Otero
County Sheriff's Office, New Mexico deputy. When the deputy approached him he threw his air soft bb gun to the SIDE and the deputy shot him 4 times! 3 minutes passed and Elijah was on the ground screaming "IT'S A BB GUN!" You can him hear him say this clearly in the video. The deputy then shot him 15 more times while he was on the ground belly down in agony, most likely trying to assess himself. When the family was notified they were told he was shot ONCE to the shoulder but failed to mentioned the 18 other bullets he was wearing! Then New Mexico State Police released a statement implying the gun was aimed at the deputy and released the name of a MINOR but concealed the name of the deputy. The family learned of the 19 times he was shot when the footage was released online! They were not given the deserved respect of learning this in private before it went public.
