Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 26/07/2025Excited to dive in to more of the Torch’s coverage of Hogan soon, but special shout-out to @richfann.bsky.social for the usual poignant, nuanced and astute discussion points. 020
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/04/2025Join Greg and me on Saturday for all things #Wrestlemania night 1, and then @pwtorch.bsky.social contributor Chris Adams makes his post-show debut (with me, at least!) on night 2! 030
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 25/03/2025Not sure it would be possible to more disappointed by the John Cena heel character thus far. Just two total misses for me. 000
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025I just think the more earnest/believable approach is Cena coming from a place of desperation that leads him to being alone on an island he didn’t expect, not some deep-rooted resentment that emerged at a pretty odd time. 110
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025To me, they had a compelling, nuanced story at their feet and this felt like they skipped over that to get to a very basic “you people” approach. They can work backward now, and it’ll probably work out just fine, but I’ve got to critique it how it comes. 120
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025The crowd has been almost universally with him for years, so for him to suddenly have a problem with them felt like a leap in logic. They could’ve still gotten here and done this promo after he explained his motivation and the crowd rejected him. 010
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025I know this is addressed to Frank, but I think my hang up is that the motivation feels off. Cena turning heel in the way he did (joining corporate Rock) felt like a means of elevating his chances of one more ride on top, not like a rejection of the audience… 310
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025I do think it’s probably going to feel foreign all the way through (largely because I don’t foresee this turn lasting all that long) but I do think there’s time to get me back on board. Levesque still gets my benefit of the doubt, booking wise. 230
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025It certainly got him booed, but I felt like it was too much of a generic, one note heel turn promo for what was the follow up to such a massive angle. There’s a lot of nuance to this and I hope Cody calling him out allows him to explore some of that in his other appearances. 120
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025Ties in to the crisis in confidence, and also, he could’ve approached it like he expected the crowd to understand once he explained himself. When they inevitably reacted poorly, then he could’ve done this. Jumping right to this felt phony and hollow. 120
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/03/2025I think you could’ve taken the approach that Cena was consumed by his recent record and, despite winning the Chamber on his own (even though he really didn’t), he wants to fully cement his legacy by breaking the record and to guarantee it, he sold out to the board. 220
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 14/03/2025The Democratic Party either needs to have its Tea Party moment or just start calling themselves Republicans. Props to AOC for calling this what it is. 350

Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 07/03/2025Interesting! They’re not typically in my wheelhouse but I came around to them with their last EP. Haven’t heard them, but I’ll take a look! 010
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 06/03/2025New Spiritbox record is insane. Buy it/stream it tomorrow. 110
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 06/03/2025Alright, Twitter account officially closed/deleted. Counting on you for NFL free agency, Blue Sky. Don’t let me down! 010
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 05/03/2025The Democrats aren’t coming to save us. They are complicit. They are cowards. They won’t stand up to billionaires because that would upset THEIR billionaires. 010

Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 22/02/2025Wound up with the Office Chairs subreddit in my algorithm and holy shit those people are dedicated/nuts in the best way and also do I need a $1,500 chair now? 000
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 14/02/2025But, with that said - I’m working through this year’s Oscar noms and enjoying the hell out of them AND so many of my favorite bands are releasing music this year and that’s brought some sunshine to this hellscape! 010
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 14/02/2025I’ve been pretty dormant lately in large part because I’m (1) continuously disheartened by the grossness of WWE corporate despite thinking the product is largely the best it’s been in years and (2) not at all vibing with the current AEW product but not wanting to yuck people’s yum. 100

Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 01/12/2024Programming note: I’ll be hosting a post-Survivor Series edition of Wrestling Night in America TOMORROW night at 8 est for @pwtorch.bsky.social! 020
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 26/11/2024I don’t think it’s a good sign that the most common question we’re hearing in post show chats is “who is in charge?” 120
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 26/11/2024That’s well and good for your run of the mill heel turn, but he’s been attempting murder on a near weekly basis and purposefully hinting at a higher power - they’ve not been vague about that. Why is he carrying the title in a briefcase? Why was it imperative that Bryan not win the title? 110
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Will be on coverage duty for #AEWFullGear tonight for @pwtorch.bsky.social, then I’ll be discussing the show live with the incomparable @gregmparks.bsky.social! Gonna be a fun one! 021
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/11/2024Yeah, unfortunately. Think it’s found an audience via positive word of mouth on streaming, but it didn’t do much at the box office. 110
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 18/11/2024My only qualm is that this thing is now getting lumped in with The Fall Guy as “big budget original action flop” except the latter is actually a really freaking good movie! 110
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 16/11/2024This game is so much fun, unironically. You ever sat mesmerized by one of those cleaning videos? This is that for as long as you want. 000
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Remember this for Christmas NFL games and also maybe Raw: the stream was perfect if you were willing to be like, 2-3 minutes behind. Saw a random comment on Reddit and it turned out to be very true. Never had a buffer, sound drop or quality dip again. 010
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 16/11/2024It’s a really fun, punchy record! Agreed - hate feeling weird for enjoying Emily’s contributions so much. The stuff with the church is so off-putting. 010
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 15/11/2024The wrestling analyst curious to see how Netflix handles a live sports (entertainment) broadcast in me wants to check it out, but it’s absolutely screw the both of them. 110
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Feels like there’s too few people who appreciate the Big Brother to pro wrestling dinosaur pipeline. 120
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 14/11/2024And Ospreay saying none of the world champions can touch him in the ring. Well, then, get him in the title picture then? 000
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 12/11/2024Have to say, the whole “move BlueSky to where Twitter was” on my phone has been a wildly successful and mood-improving strategy thus far. 130
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 09/11/2024Caught #Anora this afternoon. Man, what a film! 000
Brandon LeClair @bleclair12.bsky.social · 09/11/2024Sorry, I was referring to the additions of Rampage + Collision. Dynamite is still 2! 000
