New chapters! Blaze being a goober, then when Agmundr tries to help, things don't go as planned. Can *anyone* expect a 'mon like Blaze would be able to say sorry and have it go well? pmdfanfiction.com/story/vardah... archiveofourown.org/works/913323... #PMD #story #pokemon #Zoroark

I think we should bring meantone back it's great that we can play music in any key and can modulate around effortlessly but there's something charming to the way intervals have color in a temperament like meantone.

mmmm should go follow some production tutorials or something

I listen to an Au5 song and think "huh, I want to try and copy this and figure out how he does everything!" Then I sit at my DAW and suddenly figuring Au5 out becomes very daunting

I made a gym theme for Ri and Two! ... long, long belated, seeing as Ri and Two have already abandoned the gym and turned it into a bar. But here it is, it's something Ri might imagine in his head during a rough gym battle against a strong fire type or something, haha youtu.be/hEW3WYHipiE

I'm needing to rework some assets for my music videos...

000

Blaze @blazingzork.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

The bits I'm always most proud of in my music are when I somehow modulate some crazy way away from my home key then have to figure out how to modulate back home. Usually involves some puzzle solving, which is always a ton of fun

Blaze @blazingzork.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

*sigh* with the rebrand I've gotta redraw some of my assets for my music videos, too I have this awesome idea for a text effect, but not nearly the skill to pull it off.

I wanna talk about meantone but I don't have any friends who are as much of a nerd about historical tuning as I am to be interested in it

imagine how long it must take for a Zoroark to wash their long mane... it takes Blaze an hour and several towels to wash and dry when he bathes at the Guild!

I've got some awesome music coming up, I just have to make music videos for it all. Was hoping to get some animations for them, but the funds don't exactly comply. But now's the time to release something, as they have to do with Blaze and his setting!

Two used to battle with a giant spoon, you know? He hung it up when he mated Ri, though, since Ri can handle all his melee needs for him. ... He *is* the Mewtwo from Pokemon Adventures, after all, at least that's the majority of the inspiration for him!

Being a violin/viola player I never took D'addario seriously but it's, like, one of the premier string companies for guitars and basses, right?

Is it controversial to say that the majority of 2000s era music is mixed poorly? I listened to a bunch of "underrated" 00s/10s pop music and the only mixes that stood up to modern standards were from 2011 onward.

You don't really understand why a studio mic's a studio mic until you're recording in your home through wireless headphones and wondering why you're hearing yourself mess around with stuff a room away from your mic in your ears

Ri and Two have a bar... Was thinking of calling it something like "Purple" and be esoteric about it but I think it's much more in line with those two if they call it something dumb like "The Perching Mewtwo" or simply just... "The Perch?" I dunno, clearly I'm still working on it haha

New story, too! Two can be scary, don't forget about that when he's busy being a goober the rest of the time. When he and Ri find someone trying to steal from their bar -- well, the Mewtwo ire comes out. archiveofourown.org/works/62141752

Two's such a goober, I'm gaining better understanding of his character with each story I write. It's kind of funny how he started out as this stoic, wise character who knows everything but turned into one who needs help processing his own emotions.

100

Blaze @blazingzork.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

aaack I've written myself into this weird corner where Two's just about helpless when it comes to processing his own feelings and letting himself feel them openly and freely, but when it comes to Ri, he's gotta be the one who's insightful and can figure things out. I don't know if it makes sense

I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and I'm confused as heck why all the openings and closings are mixed awfully. And when I really think about it, it's a trend I see in anime music until like 2018 or around there, and then after that the quality of a mix increases *so* much
