There are absolutely good options like Tom Gordon, Layla Moran and Josh Babarinde.

I don't recognise this MP and wouldn't support him for the leadership but also anything that helps push the leadership in a more radical direction would be good.

Its just the reality of how disengaged most people are in local politics. The vast majority of people do not know who their local council leader is.

Yeah agree. The triple lock is financially unsustainable, it was there to reduce pensioner poverty but pensioner poverty has now been significantly reduced and far lower than child poverty. Burnham's proposal doesn't go far enough in my view but is certainly far better than what we have now.

Great to see some progress. It would be better if they just scrapped leasehold entirely but you get what you get.

Even if they all voted it is a small group that isn't large enough to make a significant difference. A couple extremely marginal seats might be affected and that's about it. Plus I wouldn't say the publicity around it has been all that high, most people I talk to don't know it is happening.

Technically yes but 16 and 17 year olds are a small group with likely low turnout, the difference of including them would be marginal.

Yeah its getting completely out of control, the lack of a strong response from the government is weird. Seems like an easy opportunity for them to appear strong and decisive but apparently they aren't interested.

Yeah strongly agree, the strategy doesn't properly address how we need a fundamentally distinct identity that voters can easily understand.

Posta like that are always slightly frustrating, what do you mean 'I wish there was a leader doing this stuff' Ed Davey is clearly doing so but apparently nobody cares.

Yes. The GDP figures you see reported are 'real GDP' which is essentially GDP adjusted for inflation. There is also nominal GDP, which is just the raw numbers. Nominal GDP is usually ignored for the purpose of looking at GDP growth.

Most of these moves are probably insignificant but the Green one is important because it is the lowest vote share FindOutNow have had them on since the 1st October. Especially since FindOutNow are probably the most Green favourable pollster, these aren't good figures for them.

That's a brave defection, given there were no Lib Dem councillors on the council until he defected.

Ref/con leadership might think about this kind of strategy but most of their voters are not, and I doubt most of their voters will hold their noses and vote Green. If anything they will tactically vote Labour to keep the Greens out.

Ed Davey and the leadership have clearly changed their rhetoric. They are now actively pushing for us to join the single market, and they are openly acknowledging that it is just a step to eventually fully rejoining the EU. There doesn't yet seem to have been much change on anything else sadly.

There is a certain level of discontent in the party, from some of our MPs and members over the polling stagnation. And there has been a small shift as a result. Previously, we were only talking about joining a customs union with the EU, and there was an avoidance of questions about rejoining the EU.

Rather than lying he likely just really thinks they have a majority. As you say probably saw claims they do on social media and didn't check. Not sure that makes it any better. You would expect a party leader to verify information. Also goes to show how easy it is to believe lies on social media.

Also FindOutNow have been one of if not the most Green favourable pollster. Last time they had the Greens as low as 15% was 22nd October 2025. This drop could just be temporary but it is worth keeping an eye on.

Starmer's resignation at work here. That's a massive jump, the last time FindOutNow had Labour at 21% or higher was 9th July at 22%. I can only assume it is driven by people going from don't know to Labour? Ref/Lab switches are low, while the Greens/LDs didn't fall that much.

We should just drop most of our old opt outs but I wouldn't be keen to lose the pound. Having the ability to set your own monetary policy is a very useful tool and it would hurt us significantly if we lost it. We could try to do a Sweden but I think the EU will close that loophole eventually.

I find it hilarious how FindOutNow have gone from the best pollster for Reform to (as of right now) the joint worst pollster for Reform and the best pollster for the Greens.

It is Lib Dem policy to replace the Equality act. We only welcomed the ruling in the sense that it clarified a (horrible) law that had previously left people and business unsure of how to comply and avoid legal action.

Perhaps in the short term but in the long term it reduces trust in politics for all parties. Low institutional trust reduces support for the status quo (the union) and increases support for radical options (independence). And from a moral perspective noboby deserves to be defrauded of their money.

I'm sceptical of these numbers. SNP at 53% in Scotland? Lib Dems at only 12% in the South? Both numbers would be absolutely massive shifts if true but we haven't seen anything else suggesting this. Delta poll recently updated their methodology and I suspect they didn't get it quite right.

Your polling table shows the MoreInCommon poll as Lib Dem +1 when it should be +2. Underreporting Lib Dem numbers like this is completely unacceptable! Also you are missing the latest FindOutNow poll (which coincidentally also has Lib Dem +2).
