(Posting earlier to avoid forgetting) Several new ideas for the game coming right now. Here's also footage of new tracks replacing placeholder ones (still WIP) 🧵 More in thread! #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

The inventory now kind of works! The first and easy part was displaying the attributes of items, next will be making it functional, such as equipment functions. (Still a WIP) #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Inventory screen depicting a total of 12 item slots, alongside 3 categories and a equipment wheel of 8 slots. The below text says:
Onigiri; a common rice snack, often carried by humans and, sometimes, other creatures. The rice makes it creamy and soft inside.
Below is also a "Icons" tab which is unfinished.

Ditto, but the below text says:
Dango; Dumplings from the kingdom locale, they're sweet and soft snacks made out of rice flour. It is usually consumed alongside tea, which is great for (it abruptly cuts here). It is meant to say "for breakfasts", but there is a text limit.

Very late is better than never. Here's some inventory progression, the hardest part of programming! ...It looks a bit familiar. #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

The inventory interface is inspired by Phoenotopia Awakening's own one (probably too much? Limitations are rough after all)
Below is a textbox with placeholder text:
Item Name
This is the item description!
It gives you X seconds of something!
Adored by templates.
Icons go here!

Progress is being made. Be patient. The motivation to make has been dying, and thus there's nothing flashy to show. At least for now. #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

The once small town area is now being expanded to feature some more life. You can see the area's grid and entities, as well as a mostly fixed bridge.

Sorry for inactivity! Been busy! Here's some character redesign done the past week. Notice I have to update the account's banner... I'll be posting early for proper interactions. #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

The new design for one of the characters you'll find in the game. Designer's note: I didn't like the old design much, it was too simplistic and poor, and was too difficult to animate. The new design boasts a black suit with a green robe on top, the ponytail is more distinctive and the hair is red. It looks pretty fancy in my opinion.

Frames for a frog enemy that can spit bubbles, a total of 5 frames of a huge mouth.

While working on the tile sets, I'm making sure to make tribute to those indies I like... That includes LunarLux, I've got a character in there so I'll be doing my part too! #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Picture of two tiles that depict Tetra from the mentioned game LunarLux, and a set of a hat and a hammer that alludes you to a blastin' game about a red guy... Yes, that's ANTONBLAST.

After the next (and more well made) demo is out, I will find a publisher and hopefully get the same up on Steam. I'll think about console releases, but it's not as likely...

I forgot once again, sorry. Anyway, today's update is the implementation of color palette changing! Next demo you'll be able to use a changing room to swap around some random palettes (will be implemented as collectibles soon!) #pixelart #gamedev #ドット絵 #IndieGameDev #construct3 #indiegames #indiedev

4-color Palette, composed of a skin-like color, pretty pink, dark red and very dark blue. Almost like some ordinary girl from a rural village!

3-color Palette, composed of orange, red and a greenish brown (or brownish green?). It makes you feel... so retro.

4-color Palette, composed of white and bright colors cyan, pink and purple. Tasty and sweet!

Collection of color palettes you can use in the playable character, from "Flag" using colors from a country flag, "Retro" taking colors from a classic plumber, "Candy" having pretty and girly marshmallow colors, "Plue" having a shade of pink and blue and ultimately "T.Hunt" which means Treasure Hunter, taking similar colors from the famous retired treasure hunter Wario. It also can that one "non-binary" thing if you try hard enough.
